Free report- December : ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION TO KIDS

by Zefania Mkingi | 26-01-2020 17:43 recommendations 0

Last month in november, i joined the earthday, and thus i became the member of earthday team at our university (UDOM).

We have been planning to do many things for the 50th year anniversary of earthday, but i proposed to do the environmental education in primary and secondary schools near our university,

We really made it,  we visited two schools,  and gave them the environmental education,  kids were happy,  and they enjoyed the education and promised to use it well.

We found a problem that,  there were no dustbin in both schools, so we promised to send them in the earthrise day 22nd april 2020,

Here are pics of the event

    Hi
    Anand Arjun

Waste for the Dodoma Municipal are deposited in landfill site, in Tanzania most of places lacks the technology to dispose wastes.

Many organizations including ours here in university have sent proposal to the municipal to prepare a good way to dispose wastes.

But good news is for the dustbins that we will provide to the schools, will be in term of separaring wastes, so that plastics and other recyclable wastes could be recycled. While those which cant be recycled sent to the landfills.

    Greetings zefania
I loved your initiative. Dustbins are a good idea to school. as kids can deposit the waste than littering. Also curious to know what happens to the collected dust bins? are they disposed safely?

    regards
    Arjun Anand

    Hello Zefania

That program you conducted was such a meaningful activity, since those young students probably learned about the serious situation of the earth, and agreed with the effort to save the planet. And I hope to see that pictures of it, I think you forgot to upload them.

Thank you for sharing your great experience!
