Hi everyone , recently I have heard about the pollution status in India . Although I am living in Vietnam , I still feel very worry about the air pollution level in India . Because of that , today I decided to write an article about this problem and I hope you will enjoy it . Besides that I also want to send many wishes to India and Indian friends with the hope of seeing India ' air improved . Here's my report :
According to the US Embassy¡¯s measurements, air in New Delhi reached PM2.5 concentrations of more than 1,200 micrograms per cubic meter, 48 times the guideline value established by the World Health Organization. This is still short of the record set in Shenyang, China, where concentrations topped 1,400 micrograms per cubic meter. n fact, much of the pollution is coming from farms in nearby states of Punjab, Haryana, and Western Uttar Pradesh. With the rice harvest over, farmers are burning crop stubble — specifically the remnants of the rice crop to prepare the fields to plant wheat and return nutrients to the soil. But what¡¯s unique about Delhi¡¯s smog is that the smoke from the burning outside the city is mixing with pollution inside the city — from construction, vehicles, and fires the poor use to cook and keep warm. This mix of rural and urban pollution intensifies in the cooler winter months and this year¡¯s air currents through the region have been unusually slow, allowing the dirty air to linger. North India¡¯s topography also acts as a basin that traps pollution — making it impossible for the millions of people in the region to escape the toxic air. It¡¯s why there are now reports of reverse migration: People retreating from Delhi to rural areas outside the pollution zone so they can breathe cleaner air.

Hello Dat
I can see that the situation in India is pretty serious. It's also sad that there is no sign that the situation getting better. I totally agree with the people living the rural areas escaping from the smog, and this kind of movement seems to happen in many big cities with serious pollution. I hope some effective policies or technologies are implemented in Delhi.
Thank you for the great report.

Hey Dat!
It's Lisa your mentor.
I also heard about air pollution in India recently. One of my friends is traveling India at the moment and she told me that she was very surprised the moment she arrived there because the air was so dirty that she had a hard time breathing at first. I think the reality is really more serious than we think!
As you have well put, India air pollution has many reasons and definitely industrialization within the nation is a big problem. Although we cannot urge India to stop the construction or running of the factories they ought to resolve the problem for the public health is put in danger.
Very informative article with a great picture.
Nice job!
