With the problems associated with water resources, there have been scientific approaches and technological innovations to tackling them. Groundwater contamination has been a very serious environmental issue which has been addressed with various scientific and technological approaches. However, we hear more of these environmental problems than the approaches. As difficult as it is to completely remediate contaminated groundwater at a particular region, there have been improved and recommendable technological developments towards addressing it. Remediation of contaminated Groundwater most times, involves combination of of technologies and depending on the scope of this activity, it can in-situ or ex-situ. The most widely used technologies are physical, biological, chemical and combination of the mentioned technologies. Among others, various types of these remediation technologies are listed below. 1. Excavation 2. Containment 3. Pump and Treat Method 4. Chemical Reduction 5. Chemical Oxidation 6. Bioremediation The application of some of the above mentioned remediation methods depends largely on the nature of contamaminat, geotechnical and hydrological properties of the site, extent of remediation and cost implications. Further reading and research are recommended for the suitability of one remediation technology from the other and the scientific importance of each one. Conclusively, as it is necessary to know that despite the technical difficulties, continued efforts and scientific researches are being done on improving the existing remediation methods and development of better ones.

Hey Israel!
It's Lisa your mentor.
I do find the bio remediation technology very interesting myself as well!
What's great and amazing about the nature is that they have the ability of self-purification as long as we keep the environment the way it is, it will be able to handle some of the problems that rise naturally. I think the technology uses this nature of the environment to resolve the pollution problems in the most natural way.
I am sure that we can expect to see some positive changes with these technologies!

I agree with your thoughts about the remediation to water pollution. Since water is related to very wide range of human society, it's not easy overcome some issues. Therefore the solution should start from the base level, which is the effort from each households. In my opinion, only through that approach can some issues eventually be solved. I hope the situation get better as soon as possible!
