Free report: Problematic Saratov |

Hello guys! I'm sure a lot has been said about ecology and environment and climate change so I don't want to dwell on it right now. Instead I'll introduce you to my motherland but since Russia is huge and it's a bit hard to cover everything, I'll tell you about my hometown, Saratov, southwest Russia. It's situated on the river Volga, one of the greatest rivers in Russia. It is over 400 years old and is one of the biggest Russian cities. Over 800,000 people live here but every day dozens of people come to Saratov from the nearest towns for work in the morning and go back in the evening in their own cars, of course. So you can imagine the state of our air with thousands of cars and factories. Polluted air is one of the biggest problems in my region.
Another one being water and landfill pollution due to illegal dumps. Every year we throw away around 400 mil tons of rubbish and only a tiny part of it gets recycled.
What is more, one of our main specialities is agriculture but this industry is not controlled at all. Due to the use of fertilisers more and more soil is losing its fertility and we're getting less harvest and less money.
These are the main ecological problems of my region. Do you have similar problems in your country/hometown? How do you solve them? |

Thank you for introducing a local environmental problem to me! I'm sorry to hear about your regional environmental problem! You told me about air pollution, and sadly air pollution is also a big problem in Korea. In Korea, there are many pollution causes, like a coal power plant or too many cars, etc. And we have to wear a mask during air pollution. Sorry to hear your region's problem and let's get together and solve these problems!

Thank you for introducing environmental problems in your district. To solve problems, one must know what is the problem and acknowledging this can be a good start. In my country, people are suffering from fine dust. The Korean government makes a lot of policies to prevent this situation, but they are not working fine right now... I hope this problem ends soon.

It feels really pathetic when it comes to know such a city is facing the problem of industries and the cars beyond the number that it should be.

I do hope you are doing all good..
Today's world is suffering from air, land water , sound pollutions along with climate change and global warming.As you have mentioned ,your hometown and whole country is facing air pollution, our countries are also facing the same problem .But the problem is that, no concerned authorities as well as local people are taking immediate actions on it..
Technology has reached the optimum level but still the environmental problem is the same..So, i do hope in upcoming days the problem will be solved with all our combine actions..
