[Free Report] A new option for sustainable development.

by Claudia Marin | 10-03-2020 13:01 recommendations 0

Over the years, humanity has had to look for new options to counteract the depletion of our fossil fuels. Thanks to recent research, we affirm that biodiesel is a viable and efficient replacement for petroleum, even surpassing the benefits and profits of gasoline. In addition, biodiesel is an eco-friendly option, as it's "renewable and clean burning fuel that is made from waste vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant grease" (Rinkesh, 2013).

For this reason, I've done my extended essay in chemistry in this topic because I found it really interesting, and in my experiment, I used different oils in order to compare which one is better. According to my results, I noticed that the less dense oils were better related to efficiency and productivity.

Due to the large amount of natural oils that are extracted, the use of biodiesel is a bit laborious and complicated. If we wanted to produce biodiesel to replace gasoline, we would have to wait for perhaps a couple of years to extract a great amount of oil from the plants and in that way, create a sustainable development that benefits the environment and humanity.

Against this background, we must look more eagerly for an answer to contribute to the improvement of our world. Perhaps, biodiesel is the solution, but it's still optional, and for this reason, I consider that to change this reality, we should start with "trying" and then make it part of our lives.

Hi Claudia Marin, this is Sang Su Lee.

I've read your article and I totally agree that there should be alternative resources to replace petroleum. Alternative resources should meet two conditions: sustainable and eco-friendly. From your report, I guess biodisel meets these two conditions. It is always difficult to start, but after a while, engineers would find a way to use it commercially. Genome project was also extraordinarily expensive and inefficient at first, but scientists have made a way to make it cheaper and efficient so that people with decent income can get genomic print of their own genes. Scientific development is crucial here.

Thank you for sharing this interesting topic.

    Cheers!

    Hello Claudia! It's mentor Taehyun.

Thank you for writing about biodiesel! A few years ago, biodiesel started to become the famous alternative of petroleum. Even though it has an efficiency problem or compatibility problem, but its concept is certainly good! But! because biodiesel is usually extracted from candy cane or corn, it can cause a food shortage problem. So, it is like a double-sided sword. We have to be careful when we develop these alternative fuels.

    Thank you for useful article!

    Green cheers!
