What effect has technology development in our environment? I ask myself this question a lot. Where are we living? Is this development of technology good for us ? Sometimes I think that technology has nothing to do with environment, but when I think I come to a conclusion that technology has everything to do with our environment. This world where we are living is being unfortunately controlled by technology. Think about our world 10 years ago and compare it with now? Does the environment have changes? Of course it has changes. A lot of changes. Technology developed a lot this last 10 years, bringing a lot of pollution and other environment problems. Technology produced a lot of electrical cars, that´s good , but 95% of people don´t afford buying an electrical car, making them to use buy a normal car. So 95% of people are influenced by these super expensive cars to buy normal car and create pollution in our environment. Technology has produced a lot of new phones, with batteries. And this is a big issue for our environment. 90% of people in our world has a phone and think about it when half of these people have more then 2 phones. It´s true that batteries are rechargeable, but this batteries need at least every year to be changed. And where go whole of the old batteries? In nature. On the other hand technology is helping environment in a lot of ways. 1 Example is building Automation. A lot of buildings nowadays work with eco friendly solutions and this is because of the technology development. A lot of people nowadays use E-Bikes and E-Scooters which fortunately are affordable. Environment is very depended from technology. This technology affects it in a bad way and in a good way. We just need to find a way how to solve the problems that technology brings to nature. We need to think and to find a solution together.

This article was interesting to me in that you argued that technology has double-sided edges. Mentioning about cars, you insist that electric car is not affordable to many people right now. However, this was the same when the first cars were invented. Only rich people could ride them. Technology takes time to develop in efficient ways. I hope much more economical ways to produce and maintain electrical cars would be found soon.

But, my opinion is technology is certainly making a good move. As you mentioned, with advanced technology, we can make an eco-friendly transportation system or solution.
