Earth day, is it really matters? |

The world Earth day, is it really matters to Earthlings?
How many times you thought about it? I hope many, but what if I say this day is useless, maybe there is some purpose of it, but it is so little as if there is none. By my opinion I mean that this Earth day only remains us what we've done to Earth and nothing more, we dont off our lights or stop using our car by this day or authorities are do not switch off light in landmarks of our cities or organizing some eco friendly meetings, where people can express themselves by presenting their researches or science projects to protect our environment. All people above just posting some congradulations or making selfies of themselves with greens behind them. with the same success we can celebrate the world Moon day or Mars? My question here is what is this all for? All those photos and hashtags in Instagram, all those words if wen are doing nothing in this day? The action, which 24 time less - Earth our is more helpful to our environment than this day. World authorities could invite in this day switching off energy for the whole day or prohibit of using cars or others useful rules, but there is none as the purpose of this event. Have you ever thought of doing something eco friendly in this day? For instance: To clean the shore in your city or beach near you or to plant 10 trees in district or just to help some animal shelters in this day as a volunteer, maybe small amount of you yes, but as the statistics shows most of all of us no. This is a message of protest and unanswered question of mine. Thank to all of you and stay safe! |

Wow! Your report is very sharp and acute. I also agree that acting is more important than just celebrating the day by taking photos. However, by advertising this day, more and more people get opportunities to know about this event and possibility of cleaning the earth might slightly go up. However, as I said, I strongly agree that we must change first!

Diana, I believe you and I can do this. We don't need the so called authorities to switch of lights or try to practice environmental care before we do the same. We are the authorities now, let us take the steps and let other emulate us. The question is What are you doing to make this Earth Day Different?

Thank you for the report about your own opinion, really impressed. I agree with your opinion! What did we do on the Earth day? Sharing your activity with others or taking photos? Is that really helpful to our earth? No, in a direct way! Definitely, it is (I'm sorry to say like this) USELESS! But, think differently, by doing this, we can make people involve with the environmental activity! It is not that useless. So, Let's celebrate our annual event!
