[Thematic Report] Calculating the environmental cost of one of human activities- Recycling Fellow Ambassadors, recycling helps a lot in order to conserve the environment. It is one of the best services for the mother earth. Initially, our early generations were close to the nature, then industrialisation has taken us away and this current millennia generation has been more responsible than ever. They are using recycling methods more & more. The precious energy consumption gets remarkably reduced with recycling. recycling reduces the need to use more energy to produce new items. The landfills are reduced when people uses recycling methods. Load on landfills gets lesser. The goal should be zero waste to landfills.
Recycling minimises the impact of pollution on our environment. It improves the soil quality. The precious natural resources gets conserved with increased recycling. Such as coal, minerals, gas, water, oil, and timber gets saved by recycling. Recycling saves money & creates green jobs. The fact is that recycling is good both for manufacturers and consumers. On one hand, manufacturers benefit from it because recycled source materials are often cheaper than virgin ones. On the other, consumers save money through recyclables that companies are willing to pay for, such as copper and aluminum. It’s even easier to save money through reusing objects. Using homemade compost is a way to save money (it’s obviously cheaper than buying commercial compost). The recycling cause saves us money and it ultimately helps the environment.
Recycling brings communities together. When one person works for environment it is not so impactful but when a group joins the effort than the effect is tremendous. Tunza platform is a classic example of the same. It has brought together all of us sitting at different parts of the world. All are focussed at one common goal. Environment.
So friends, Lets’ keep up the green work going. Keep making the mother earth a greener place to live by adopting recycling.

Hi Rohan Kapur, this is a mentor Sang Su Lee.
This is very fresh approaching to the given theme by mentors. I could see that how much cost that humans could save by simply recycling wasting products. Indeed recycling is very beneficial to humans. But, sadly, many people do not recycle just simply because they feel it bothersome. However, this simple behavior can save the earth as you've mentioned!

Thank you for investigating environmental costs for recycling! Recycling really helps the environment! In fact, I know that many countries legislate recycling little by little these days, but in many places, recycling still seems to be carried out on people's own. However, if you don't recycle, you'll have to practice recycling even if it's a little inconvenient because you'll incur such a huge environmental cost!
