"Erin Brockovich» - biographical film of the Director Steven Soderbergh, based on the true story of a human rights activist Erin Brockovich, who fought for the rights of residents of the community of Hinkley (Hinkley) in California against the Corporation "Pacific Gas and Electric Company", polluting the city's groundwater with carcinogenic hexavalent chromium, which causes cancer in citizens. The film premiered on March 17, 2000. The main character played Julia Roberts, who was awarded numerous film awards for this role, including "Oscar" and "Golden globe" [1]. This is a court drama based on a true story. The chemical company misleads the residents of the whole region, who are suffering from serious diseases everywhere. "Erin Brockovich" tells about the industrial area of Hinckley, whose groundwater Pg&E 14 years poisoned dangerous substances that caused cancer in local residents. After paying for a medical examination, the Corporation decided to hush up the story by moving people at its own expense, offering them 60 thousand dollars for new housing. And everything would be fine if it weren't for the meticulous Erin Brockovich, who is used to doing her job well. As she was sorting through the paperwork at the law office, she wondered why medical documents were attached to the real estate case. A little digging, Erin discovers a terrible case for 333 million dollars. This is how a small private law firm starts a war against those who rule the world. Erin's investigation revealed that the company polluted the groundwater of the town of Hinckley (California) with carcinogenic chromium, which caused cancer in citizens for more than 30 years. The girl managed to find documents that proved that the management knew about the harm to the health of local residents and preferred to hide this fact. It was because of Erin's unwavering tenacity that the company paid $ 333 million in damages to more than 600 affected Hinckley residents. This amount was a record for the practice of considering class actions. Erin received more than $ 2 million in fees. [1] As a result of lawsuits initiated by Erin, hundreds of people received compensation from the Corporation that violated their rights. Hi Nikolay Dagaev, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.
I've heard of this movie. This movie teaches us lessons that companies should take responsibilities of their actions when they are producing some industrial products. Carcinogenic pollutants!! It was really a serious problem that affects the citizens for a long time. I hope many environmentally innocuous corporates around the world be chosen by consumers.
Thank you for your report.

Thank you for the movie introduction called Erin Brockovich! I think it's a very meaningful movie. There are several kinds of movies like this! Especially, the Dark Watters movie is one of my favorite environmental movies, so I should watch it too! Thank you for recommending a good movie.
