Oftentimes when we talk about air pollution people tend to have limited options but there's more to that.The leading global pollutants are the mobile sources that we see as luxurious but they pose more harm than good in our ecosystem. mobile sources – such as cars, buses, planes, trucks, and trains stationary sources – such as power plants, oil refineries, industrial facilities, and factories area sources – such as agricultural areas, cities, and wood burning fireplaces natural sources – such as wind-blown dust, wildfires, and volcanoes Graphic of Air pollution pathways: mobile, stationary, area, and natural. Mobile, stationary, area, and natural sources all emit pollution into the air. Mobile sources account for more than half of all the air pollution in the world due to the movements that people make everywhrere . The primary mobile source of air pollution is the automobile, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Sources, like power plants, emit large amounts of pollution from a single location, these are also known as point sources of pollution. Natural sources can sometimes be significant but do not usually create ongoing air pollution problems like the other source types can.Air pollution has been in existence for quite a long time due to the human activities not regarding how the ecosystem is hurting. Pollution from human-generated and natural sources is often created in one place and transported through the air. Sometimes chemical reactions in the atmosphere change pollutants before they are deposited. Pollutants in the air can create haze, making it harder to see, and pollutant deposition can have environmental effects to the ecosystem and even to the human race too Wind can move air pollutants short or very long distances before they cause harmful impacts.Air pollution caused by mobile source,stationary sources,area sources and natural sources can be controlled once the human race understand the negative impacts of air pollution. Hi Cassie Kenny, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.
I read your article well that mentions about a wide variety of pollutants that cause air pollution. I thought that to minimize the source, especially mobile source, it is important for people to share cars or ride public transportation instead of riding their own automobiles. As you've mentioned at the last of the article, people would stop their pollution if they know that their behaviors can harm the environment badly. This is the reason why you guys are working hard as eco ambassadors.

Thank you very much for your brief classification of pollution sources. I think this will help us to decide which source is causing pollution excessively and we can mitigate the problem or find alternative sources for environmental health.

I think it's undeniable that there are so many sources of air pollution. Air pollution sources are classified into several categories depending on the characteristics of the source, and there are systematic classification criteria according to the pollutants that are generated! Of course, there are various solutions according to these classification criteria, and we should try to reduce air pollution by referring to these excellent references.
