Building a sustainable economic development

by Htet myat aung | 16-07-2020 00:53 recommendations 0

Green or economics development, we still conflict it passing through the whole century since the industrial revolution. In 1998-1999, the world was in the situation of financial crisis; it led to the global financial market and trade market. Many countries were industrial countries; China, Thailand and so on.

Therefore, world carbon emission has increased incredibly and many organizations, and institutions begin to focus on environmental conservation. In the past day, environmental conservation and economic development were non-partnership but in world politics, post-metalism raised and economics development measured not in GDP growth and in individual income and health. It was the beginning of green economic development.

So, what is green economic development? Green economic development is the economic development which affects the environment at least. The world population is incredibly increasing and needs more and more employment; that¡¯s why economic development is essential for the world. Also the environment, our civilization is based on the environment.

So, how to implement green economic development? First is changing the type of industry construction. In other words, this industry is an eco-friendly industry. In the past, industries were the root of trash and evil.  In the past, cutting down all trees and other diversities including in the industrial construction area. Thus, it has a big effect on the environment. In this method , not cutting down any in the area, so the environment is suitable and pleasing. In the economics point of view, a cool system for industries costs too much. Now, no need to spend more. Another important step for implementation is housing. In the past, why housing far away from the industrial zone is the industrial zone emitted pollutants that cause health problems. Now, no more need, because the industries are eco-friendly. Another benefit is transportation less needed than before. Transportation sector is the contributor of carbon and greenhouse gas.

In summary, the green economic development has to be implemented now. Let me conclude with the theme of the world environmental day 2020, ¡° time for nature¡±.

Hi Htet myat aung, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.

Actually, the topic of this article has been a dilemma for so many years. Economic growth should compensate the growing world population, but the environmental pollution has become the most important concern recently. However, I believe that people can survive with the minimum amount of money, but cannot survive without green environment. Therefore, I insist that environment outweighs economy. It is imperative to consider green development.

Thank you for your article ~

    Green cheers~

Hello Htet myat aung, this is mentor Taehyun!

Thank you for your article on green economic development! Green economic development, in other words, sustainable economic development! Have you ever heard of the word LOHAS? As a mark for sustainable products or services, some countries are actively working on these certification systems to move toward a sustainable society. It seems that international standards for environmental certification, such as ISO, should be established for this regard. Everyone says they're environmentally friendly, but they have different standards. If standards are established, we will be able to move toward a more environmentally friendly society and further develop the green economy.

    Thank you for the report!

    Green cheers!

You're right Htet! Green economic development is crucial to our future generations, especially at a point where we have begun to experience the impacts of past developments that have destroyed the environment. I also think that it is important to bring public transportation to wider regions, as it reduces carbon emissions by encouraging people to not ride their cars. This is true in Seoul where many people choose to ride buses and subways! I believe that government plays an important part in fostering green economic development in both the public and private sectors.

    Thanks for the report!
