[Thematic Report] Be a Solution ....Not a Pollution !!! |

Do you know the name of this era of human ? The name ¡°Anthropocene¡± (a combination of Anthropos, the Greek for ¡°human¡±, and ¡°-cene¡±, the suffix used in names of geological era) was proposed in 2000 by Paul Crutzen, the Dutch Nobel laureate and pioneer on atmospheric chemistry to emphasize the significant human activities impact on Earth¡¯s geology and ecosystems including climate change caused by human activity. [1]
Over the past decades, humans have become the dominant force driving the problem of climate and the earth's temperature. By deforestation, burning fossil fuels for industry, power and transport, farming livestock, agriculture and so on, climate change by those human activities continually manifest intense phenomena, for example melting glaciers , rising sea levels, thawing permafrost and unpredictable groundwater levels. Not only crop yields are directly affected by climate change but also meat production, fisheries also are. [2] [3]
Ivanova et al., (2015) found that household consumers generate more than 60% of the world 's greenhouse gas emissions, and up to 80% of the world's land, material and water usage. It is estimated that it would take 1.6 Earths to meet the demands that human make of nature each year. [4]
Unfortunately, human demands & consumptions are unlimited and beyond the limit of this earth¡¯s natural resources. Not enough people are paying attention to what we call climate change emergency. If we can educate all population in this world how climate change will effect things that matter to them, that will help to open their perspective and finally change their behavior.

Hi Nitipak Ratapipat, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.
I really agree with your article. I've read a statement that said, "humans have consumed half of the earth's total resources in 200 years since the industrial revolution. Isn't it amazing to see how profligate humans are?
It is indeed true that we need to educate people how our behaviors incur detrimental results on the environment, but this article would be better if you write how you would do so. One thing to comment is that your article focuses on too general topics. If this topic had been chosen in more specific perspective, it would have been better.
Green cheers~

Greetings Nitipak,
I hope you are doing fine and is safe wherever you are.
As the growing population have higher demands that have caused the unnecessary pressure on natural resources. I fear that if the exploitation of the resources continue in the same way, then The Earth will be closed one day.
Thank you soo much for sharing your informative article.
Keep on writting.

Hello Nitipak,
I agree with you in a sense that we human becoming more greedy and needy than we deserve. There is not equal distribution of natural resources and powerful people keep exploiting more and more. As a result, landslides and flood are now threat in our country.
We should be a solution
Green cheers

Hello Nitipak Ratapipat, this is mentor Taehyun!
Have we ever had such an era? The word Anthropocene brings us shame. Humans are the only species that has ever had such a far-reaching impact on the Earth, and most importantly, have destroyed the Earth's environment, leading itself to self-destruction. Many scientists are constantly warning us about our situation, but the lives of ordinary people don't seem to have changed much. It is time to wisely solve the environmental problem, which is the task of the entire human race, by taking the initiative in the compulsory government rather than proceeding with sustainable development at the private level.
Thank you for the report!
Green cheers!

Hello Nitipak,
Green Cheers from Nepal
I hope you are fine and doing great as well. We humans are the one who have taken this planet on the verge of destruction. We have overutilized the natural resources beyond the carrying capacity of the planet and the environment has already suprassed its bearing potential. If we keep exploiting the resources like this, the planet wont be habitable for any living beings in the near future. We must think about other species living in the planet and use available natural resources wisely.
Regards,
Sagar Koirala
