Aeroponics

by Bal krishna Pandey | 08-08-2020 23:41 recommendations 0

The aeroponics system is the process by which a plant can be grown using a trowel without using soil. In this system, water with nutrients is sprayed and, a pressure pump is used to grow the plants. The roots are kept open in the air so that the plant can get enough oxygen. Its use has been increasing lately as it can be easily grown even in a small area, water is not used much and it grows fast.

Simply, the aeroponics system requires a perforated plastic container and a nutrient container for each plant. It can be both vertical and horizontal. The seeds are kept in a fixed container. Half of which is illuminated and the other half is placed in a device with a towel filled with nutrients. It is easier to plant small plants than large ones. It is planted with various small plants including herbs, tomatoes, strawberries and cucumbers.

Testing of the system began before 1960, but the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) began testing only in 1990. In 1997, NASA tested bean seeds in two ways. One seed was tested by placing it in an aeroponics system and the other by burying it in the ground. As a result, both grew up in a way.

The aeroponics system also has its advantages and disadvantages. With this system, many vegetables can be grown in a small area. This system is also environmentally friendly. In this system, irrigation is 95 percent less than that of plants growing in the soil. Plants can be grown in a sterile manner without the use of pesticides and harmful chemicals. The nutritious water used in it can be used again.

Hello Bal krishna Pandey, this is mentor Taehyun!

Thank you for introducing me to the farming method that broke the stereotype that plants should use soil unconditionally! Following hydroponic cultivation, this is how it's coming out these days! There's an interesting video I saw while watching a TED lecture recently, and now there's a technology that can turn it upside down and grow plants. This will allow us to farm in a city with little space!

    Thank you for the report!

    Green cheers!
