Forest Fires and it's implications In the past year 2019, over 100 forest fires have been reported. Many more go unreported and yet it brings so much adversity to the ecosystem. The ecosystem is hurt in a way;every living thing is affected from plants, animals, microorganisms animals nd even the soil.In as much as trees are grown to cover the burnt areas, some of the indigenous species are killed and never to be found again. When the frequency of forest fires in a given area is high, the consequences can be devastating. ... Forest fires increase carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change. In addition, ashes destroy much of the nutrients and erode the soil, causing flooding and landslides. Forest fires are bad news to environmentalists because it brings mockery to their efforts in environmental conservation but there are the arrogant and carefree tycoons who feel that forests should not exist for their selfish investments. Oftentimes the wild animals tend to loose their lives when trapped in the fires and so much vegetation is lost more so when the weather is windy the fire will spread so fast. Most of the time the water catchment areas are greatly affected bring about dry rivers and change in weather patterns. A current example is Tsavo National Park,Big or small, every effort counts. Tsavo Park has been burning for weeks now! Nothing much is being done by the people in power. We are not seeing much media reporting on what's happening to Tsavo! This shouldn't be taken lightly. Teams on the ground need support and how I wish something could be done.As environmentalists let's be in the front line in echoing the plight of importance of avoiding forest fires at all costs. The lives of all living things matter alot Reference : https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.ompe.org/

Hi Cassie Kenny, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.
It is so sad that human caused forest fire is increasing as well as natural forest fire is. One of naturally occurred forest fire is that with Australia. This is implying ominous situation that the environment is not okay with the current status. People should endeavor a lot to save the earth.

Hello Cassie Kenny, this is mentor Taehyun!
I read your personal thoughts about the forest fire. Forest fires can destroy wildlife habitats and increase the amount of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, which can adversely affect the global environment as a whole. Don't you think we have a cause, too? Abnormal high temperatures due to global warming, drought, etc. After all, the abnormalities that are happening these days seem to be very influential.
Thank you for the report!
Green cheers!

Greetings Cassie,
I hope you are doing great and are safe wherever you are.
Actually Forest fire is considered as a boon as well as a curse too. In a sense that it destroys the habitat of wild animals including human settlement too.
But the fire can burn and helps to regenerate the new saplings to.
Thank you for disseminating the information through your detailed report.
Keep Sharing.
