Hello Everyone!!!

This is Kushal Naharki, EcoGeneration Regional Ambassador form Nepal. Congratulations to all the newly selected ambassadors and fellow ambassadors who have extended their term. I would like to congratulate all the fellow ambassador for their reports and programs during the term. Covid19 pandemic has made all our life very difficult and glad that all the ambassador gave their best during this period as well. I would also like to appreciate the efforts of our respected mentors and ecogeneration team. In this report, I will be sharing my experiences as regional ambassador of the 24^th term.

 

Being connected to amazing platform of Tunza EcoGeneration for over three years, it has been a wonderful eco journey inspiring and motivating young changemakers for the protection of the planet. I have always tried creative and innovative ideas to aware people and create an impact to the society and to the world. This year we were hit hard by the pandemics slowing down the global economy and the activities, but I have continued my eco activities. In this report, I will be sharing you my achievements, activities, engagement on this platform and experience during this year and term as Regional Ambassador to Asia.

 

My Achievements

- Awarded Tunza EcoGeneration Ambassador Sponsorship Program

- Selected as 22 global young changemaker by YouthLead

- Selected in Youth Advisory Group under USAID's YouthPower 2 Learning and Evaulation

- Worked as Co-Chair in Pokhara Model United in United Nation Environment Programme Committee on agenda “"The impact of eco-tourism on sustainability”

- Selected for Climate Reality Global Training for August Session

 

My Engagement on the Platform

- I have posted maximum number of ambassador report which counts over 55

- I have acquired more than 11,000 points this year and my overall points on the platform is above 26,000

- I have participated in all the monthly events and annual events of the platform.

- I have helped and supported the campaigns of fellow ambassadors, motivated ecogeneration members and answered their queries.

- I have posted comment in all ambassador reports.

- I have shared more than 20 posts in opportunity section and several images of my activities on gallery section

- I have organized several campaigns, programs and invited in various program as Regional Ambassador to Asia. I have also promoted Tunza EcoGeneration via my blog, social media accounts and platform of youthlead.org during my several programs as ambassador.

My Campaigns:

-I created a video on Eco Fact Series and uploaded to YouTube which was awareness through video about the environmental facts. You can watch this at:

- I completed Go for Green Campaign with the theme of Awaring Youth and Children for Sustainable Environment to 120 students of Amar Jyoti Secondary School with different series of events. Speech Competition was organized on the topic Sustainable Environment. Eco Voice was organized with the aim to provide the voice of the students for going green. Eco Quiz and Eco Motivation was organized to motivate the students towards environmental activities.

- I initiated a new campaign: “MY WASTE MY RESPONSIBILITY”

- I conducted a series of awareness campaign with Biodiversity Ecafe on the occasion of “International Day for Biological Diversity” sharing Biodiversity Facts, Knowledge and resources every day this week during the week of biological diversity.

- A week awareness campaign through “YouthThinkers’ Society Lamjung” on the occasion of the “World Environment Day 2020” posting different aspects of the environment each day commencing from May 30 to world environment day to acknowledge the value of every small element of the environment operating together to form such a diverse domain.

- I organized four weeks of “Eco Dictionary” sharing new environment related words, meanings and sentences on daily basis.

 - I am running an awareness campaign on Plant Heath to aware about agriculture, food security and environment.

My Activities:

-I organized Twitter Chat on the Occasion of World Wetland Day as Regional Ambassador

- I conducted research on use of botanicals and Plant Essential Oil instead of pesticides

- I was invited as panelist for ‘Global Youth Twitter Chat session” on theme: Coronavirus (COVID19) A Global Pandemic: The Role of Youth During this Global Disaster hosted by Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF-SADC) on Tuesday 7 April 2020

- I organized a Twitter Chat on May 1st on the Topic “What Youth Can Learn About the Environment Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic?”. - My tweet: I took the #YLActsofGood Pledge.
