SDG-5: My action for social issue

by Sandhya Adhikari | 29-08-2020 17:16 recommendations 0

Are you well Known enough to predict that at least one in three women (35 per cent) will experience some form of violence during their lifetime - more than one billion women worldwide?
Around 650 million women alive today were married as children. Of those women, more than one in three got married before 15.
200 million women and girls have undergone female genital mutilation - the majority of girls are cut before the age of five.
( source: oxfam international )
Nepal rank 105th position out of 149 in gender inequality index. SDG-5 a global agenda aims the gender equality in the society which empower all the women and girls in the society with violence free. But still many of woman in our society are the sufferer of violence. Violence against women and girls is a global pressing challenge which include grave violence of human right that takes many different forms, including domestic violence, sexual assault and harassment, child, early and forced marriage, sex trafficking, so called ¡®honor¡¯ crimes and female genital mutilation. These sort of violence are faced by women from childhood through to old age which prevent the woman from participation and general wellbeing of woman.
Now, It is a time to say ¡®enough is enough¡¯. We want violence against women to end either in any form. We want to live in a peaceful society.
Do not seek change from other, initiate from you, Do not want your voice to be spoken from other just speak for yourself!! We want violence free society !!!
SAY NO TO ANY PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SOCIAL AND PHYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE TO WOMEN!!!
Here i had prepared one video where i had tried to portrait the violence based issue in our society. This video intend to show the real feeling of the woman when they are humiliated by society, by their own relatives. It will be my pleasure to have your feedback for this public awareness video. Your feedback will be highly acknowledge with due respect.

Hi Sandhya Adhikari, this is a mentor, Sang Su Lee.

Although the current world is heading toward gender inequality and I believe that many countries have already achieved this goal, I was surprised to know that there are still some countries who are suffering from gender inequality T.T. It is true that to change the world, someone needs to sacrifice. No action, no gain!

    I cheer you~

    Green cheers~
