The situation of lake Kobeituz during the quarantine

by Amina Kabdyrakym | 05-09-2020 00:29 recommendations 0

The situation of lake Kobeituz during the quarantine has changed due to the flow of residents of Nur-Sultan. Kobeituz is a unique lake which has the second name "Pink Lake" due to its color. Kobeituz has located 179 km(approximately 2 hours of drive) away from the capital of Kazakhstan. As villagers have the privilege to go outside and feel free, people who live in apartments have problems with going outside and breathing fresh air. Therefore, Kobeituz becomes so popular at this time. Kobeituz- is a great place to spend time, take amazing pictures, and has some medicinal properties.  Mud baths help with sore joints. It is worth noting that this place was known only to the locals because it was hard to find a way to this place: no signs.
The problem that occurred here is that, first of all, people throw their trash there and don't collect them after. Another sad fact is that people collect salt and mud from the lake with 5-liter bottles. If the first problem can destroy the breathtaking image of the lake and can harm the environment, the second problem will lead to a decrease in the unique compound of salt in this lake.
As a solution, the government prohibited citizens go Kobeituz during the quarantine. Pink Lake Kobeituz planned to be given to private hands for 49 years by competition. However, this competition canceled.
From my perspective, people should be conscious of protecting our nature. Also, I think that the government took the right decision of giving the "Pink Lake" to a private businessman. I hope this process will be released soon and this person can make this place a perfect tourist place and relaxing center.

    Hello Amina!
    It's your SJ mentor.

Thank you for letting us know about the situation of lake Kobeituz during the quarantine.
It's the most beautiful lake since i ever seen.
The pink color of the lake is really eye-catching.
Unfortunately an indiscreet act to lake Kobeituz was done as the lockdown progressed.
Protective effort for the lake should be preceded before the tourist's visitation.
    Green cheers!

    Regards,
    SJ mentor

Hello Amina, this is your mentor WooJoo :)
I agree that better control of the lake should have been taken. Tourism is a rising business, but we have to know that enough responsibility should be taken.
Plus, I think it's rude and a shame to take the salt and mud outside. Stronger laws and restrictions should be able to protect the touristic sites.
Thank you for sharing the problems of the Pink Lake of your country with us.
    Hope everything is going well.
    Best wishes,
