The 21st Era Destructive Fishing

by Charles Tortoe | 08-09-2020 18:53 recommendations 0

In Africa, the practice of using explosives to stun fish for easy collection has been on the long. This is illegal in Africa, sues, laws and regulations are set to punish fishermen who indulge in this activity but some of the fishermen still practice this method of fishing.
These fishermen forget the risks these explosives have on nature, repeatedly it poses danger to themselves and also destroy the underlying habitat. Meanwhile these explosives explode with no warning signals, they normally cause injury to these fishermen and fishes in the ocean. From an eyewitness at a blast fishing scene, named Borski, said¡± The explosives killed five children playing along the coast¡¯¡¯. This clearly shows that innocent children and bystanders along the coast where fishing activities occur may lose their life to these explosives. In recent times, some fishermen perceive it to be an easy way to stun fish for collection. The explosive used is dynamite. I urge all readers to add their voices to this report to end blast fishing. #EndBlastFishing.

    Greetings Charles!
    It's your SJ mentor.

Thank you for sharing your report concerning blast fishing.
It could lead to indiscriminate killing not only for marine organisms but humans.
Blind shells can explode at anytime, anywhere.
Strong regulation must be required to get rid of blast fishing
I will add voice to this report and pay attention to this situation.

    Best regards,
    SJ mentor.

    Hi Charles!
This is your mentor WooJoo :)
Thank you for sharing the concern with us!
It is quite shocking that such dangerous materials are still on sale, and that some people are ignorant using these just for personal activity.
I think no innocent bystander, children, men or animal should lose their lives, or be injured by these explosives.
Thank you again for sharing the issue, and for your effort too.
    Keep writing excellent reports!

    Best regards,
