Light A Candle Campaign

by Sagar Koirala | 11-09-2020 21:21 recommendations 0

On September 10, Tunza Eco Generation along with the collaboration of Youth Development Centre, Rotaract Club of Itahari, Rotaract Club of Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences and Stay In farm ran a campaign "Light A Candle". I got over 100 galleries of people joining the campaign from different parts of the country. I am thankful to everyone for joining the platform and helping me out.
We wanted to share the message of positivity . Over 0.8 million people die annually by Suicide. We ran this campaign to show support for suicide prevention, to remember the departed soul and for the survivors of suicide. I was program coordinator for this campaign and is thankful to all the collaborating organizations. Similarly, I would also like to thank Eco Generation member Miss Ashmi Sapkota for being active pillar in my campaign as she and I were representing Tunza paltform for this campaign .
I have just presented a collage of around 10 pictures below.

    Hello Sagar !
    It's your SJ mentor.

I'm pleased that such campaigning was successful.
In Korea suicide is constituting a severe social problem.
Almost 13,300 people die from suicide every year in my country.
Supporting for suicide prevention is being indispensable.
That's why I heartily agree with this campaign's purpose and meaning.
Thank you for performing such wonderful event and I hope to participate in one day.

    Best Regards,
    SJ mentor

Suicide is definitely not a solution to problems because where there's life, there's hope. I think we should be more aware of those around us to prevent such tragedies.
    Keep sharing!
