Review Article on invasive pest of Nepal |

Invasive pest are threat to local biodiversity and food security. Fall Armyworm is the invasive pest to Nepal which possess threat to Nepalese Agriculture. Our review article on " A REVIEW ON INVASION AND MANAGEMENT OF FALL ARMYWORM (SPODOPTERA FRUGIPERDA) IN NEPAL" was published in Journal of Reviews in Food And Agriculture. Abstract of the article: Nepal faces a significant risk of invasive species posing a direct threat to food security and native biodiversity. With the potentiality of causing a considerable loss in yield and quality, invasive pest species can lead to significant damage in the Nepalese agricultural sector. Fall armyworm is a polyphagous, transboundary invasive pest that invaded Nepal in August 2019. They have a wide host range, the potentiality to establish rapidly and are highly migratory. Maize is the major host of fall armyworm which comes second in terms of production and area cultivated in Nepal. Spread and establishment of this pest are enhanced during the monsoon season of the country with favorable climate and temperature. This review presents an introductory pathway of the invasive pest, biology, lifecycle, status, and management of fall armyworm in Nepal. Integrated pest management can be the best approach for the management of this pest. Control of this invasive pest requires early monitoring, scientific research, and management strategy with awareness, knowledge, and technical support to Nepalese farmers. Congratulations that you published your review article about Fall Armyworm in Nepal.
I've never heard about this species but I can realize how severely this harmful pest can threaten the local crops cultivated in Nepal.
I think preventing temperature rise is crucial for suppressing proliferation of these insects.
I strongly agree with that Integrated pest management must be adopted not to ruin local plant ecosystem.
To approach this procedure exquisite research is needed to selectively eliminate Fall Armyworm.
Overuse of pesticides could annihilate the whole farmland.
Are there more information or methodology about eliminating these pests?
I'm very curious about that.

Invasive species has been a treat in this era, the devastating effect of fall army worm cant be compared, last year there was a linear decline of crop out of which infestation of fall army worm was also the major factor,
