(free report) Poaching in Akagera national park in rwanda

Akagera National Park is a national park that lies in eastern Rwanda, it is in the the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and Savannah and many various animals. Poaching in Akagera National Park (ANP) has gone down significantly in recent years, a change related to the improved relationship between park management and the community. The Akagera national park was once the center of poaching in Rwanda by the 1994 when the returning refugees swept in the country and settled near the park. The refugees survived on hunting in the Akagera national park and by that time, the Akagera National Park has risen to a high extent of poaching center in Rwanda What is poaching? Poaching is the illegal hunting mainly concerning the shooting, trapping, or taking of game,wild animals or plants from private property or from a place where such practices are specially reserved or forbidden. This poaching was really a huge threat to Rwanda. Akagera National Park was badly degraded by poachers and settlers but thanks to an innovative conservation effort it is now home again to the big five and growing tourism business. How did Rwanda fight this poaching that was a threat? First and foremost, sensitization was the major way of solving this huge threat, as Rwanda believed that to solve a problem, you have to start it from it's roots since the poaching was done by the people. And so the roots were in their heads and for that reason, the Rwandan government put in place a way of altering the mindsets of the population from the negative to the positive and effective way kind of a solution. This sensitization was really effective and this method is even still trying to e applied in other problems acting as barriers in the country The second major way of a solution was changing the poachers to become the conservationists. this really seems hard but for Rwanda it was a different story. Because already the poachers' minds were altered by the sensitization done in first hand and this made easy the altering of one figure to another figure hence ensuring the effectiveness of the substantially reduction of poaching in Rwanda this also was effective due to the reason that other poachers could see their fellow poachers becoming conservationists and this was also another advantage since the left-behind poachers could also develop a sense of turning back hence also leading to the substantial to the almost overcoming of the poaching problem in Rwanda. Currently, poaching isn't still an issue in Rwanda since conservationists are everywhere, sensitization has reached everywhere and now every citizen of Rwanda knows the importance of not only the Akagera national park but also other game parks and this facilitates the development of the tourism sector and the country's economy at large. Rwanda fought the battle effectively and other countries facing this problem can adopt some of the above mentioned methods. Green cheers!!!

It is sad that, even people know that an illegal action is restricted for some reason, some people ignore that and just think of earning benefits.
