On 13th November, I was invited as one of the speaker for the webinar titled Sharing Knowledge on Climate Change. I was one of the five speakers for the session organized by Teka Samuha Nepal. The two hour long session was joined by many enthusiastic participants . Most of the audience were undergraduate student studying in various technical colleges of Nepal. The session was well-received by audience and the sessions were really interactive. I was fortunate to speak about Climate Action and Role In Nepal topic infront of diverse group of participants. Miss Pramisha Thapaliya gave a presentation on the topic Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Systems. She is Focal Point of UN Youth Group for SDG Goal No. 2 Zero Hunger and has been key figure for organizing UN Food Systems Summit 2021. She is also the youth delegate of Nepal for UN 75 2020. She has been advocating for climate and sustainable food system since past 5 years and have represented Nepal in numerous climate and agriculture summits. She stressed the importance of all three components Climate, Agriculture and Food and interrelationship between them. She also expressed her views on possible mitigating measures for conserving the environment. Mr. Anish Shrestha is Executive Director of Youth For Environement Education and Development Foundation Nepal and has represented Nepal in Conference of Parties(COP) and several international events. He spoke on the topic Engaging Youth and Local Communities for Climate Adaptation and Resilience. He gave examples of how youth can be engaged for various adaptation and resilience activities. Similarly, Main Organizer Nishan KC from Teka Samuha Nepal gave brief introduction of the project and explained climate change scenario in Nepal. Nishan also highlighted the current climate change scenario in Nepal. I spoke on the topic Climate Action and Role of Nepal. The participants gave good feedbacks and my session was highly interactive. I discussed on various targets and indicators of SDG 13 Climate Action and how youths could be mobilized for contributing for Climate Action. Miss Apsana Kafle spoke on the topic Green Bamboo Initiative, a green economic approach to address the impact of Climate Change. It was my fourth webinar as a speaker and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
