The life cycle of plant is also so wonderful. In this CoVid 19 pandemic, I have been so close to them. I have updated about marigolds flowers that I have planted many months back. Yes, I had preserved the last year Marigold flowers, used it's seed, sowed it and transplanted the seedlings into the soil. I had updated upto this process in my previous report. Gradually, marigold grew. Routinely, I used to take care of the garden removing weeds and watering the plants. Finally, in October marigolds bloomed. In Nepalese Hindu culture, marigold has a religious significance. We prepare it's garlands for our brothers on the occasion of our very precious festivals, Bhai Tika. On the occasion of Tihar (Nepalese festival), marigolds are frequently used for worshipping different animals and Gods. I also prepared lots of garlands of the marigolds flowers from my own garden. I sent some garlands to my relatives and some for my own brothers. I also love the garland, and I also prepared some for myself for pleasure.

Unfortunately, this year Tihar was scheduled quite later, and marigold bloomed earlier, so some marigold dried earlier prior to the date of festivals. Nevertheless, I had planted lots of plants, so there was enough for festivals celebration. I have preserved the garland so that its seed can be used for plantation for next year. Now, I have uprooted all the dried flowers, and now I am planning to prepare garden for next season flowers.

Being very close to the soil accompanying the life cycle of these plants is really a blissful feelings which one could never find in other places.
Taking this opportunity, I shall share some photos of these Marigolds at different stages, and some photos of our festivals. Let me share about Tihar also. It's a festival of lights. It longs for 5 days where we worship birds like crow, and animals like dog, cattle and ox. We also worship goddess Laxmi who is also called as Lord of wealth and prosperity. On this day, we prepare "Rangoli", which is a art made from varied colors. Last but not the least, on the fifth day, we worship our brothers for their good health and well being. We put Vermillion on their forehead, seven different colors Tika, put garland, and offer delicious and different varieties of foods.

As we all know about basil plant also called as Tulsi in Nepali. We worship Tulsi for it's huge importance and end the Tihar. We decorate a small temple called as "Moth" in Nepali where Tulsi is planted and is grown. I had shared report on each day of Tihar on my report on previous year. I shall attach it's link. In nutshell, these festivals make a closure bond between human and animals; also between human and environment and human and human.

Taking the occasion of festivals, I would also like to wish you all a prosperous, healthy, happy, harmonious, blissful and peaceful life in this joyful planet.
