Dear all,
Today, I would like to write regarding the situation in Uzbekistan and overall. I observe paper-waste situation on daily basis as there is no innovative alternative. It should be mentioned that we are living in a paridly changing environment where the advanced technology si being implemented. However, seeing the papers used for one-time purpose to buy the subway or concert tickets make me upset. The papers are as the drops of the water which become the oceam. What I mean is the quantity of papers are increased depending on the number of visitors. Moreover, they are thrown anywhere and everywhere. Why can't it be transformed into something different and creative? I have recently attended one of the most amusing and attractive New Year Showcases in Tashkent. Just in order to enter the park, there is a separate ticket as well as paper-made bracelet to wear. More than hundreds of the people daily visit, and can't imagine the accumulated amount of the people by the end of the holiday. Mainly, enormous companies would like to advertise while celebrations, yet never think of the ecosystem. My main point is how people would like to be selfish but they are not at all! You may wonder why, I would response in that way: if a person loves himself and family, will think ahead that they will not be able to survive next decades. It is terrifying situation that most of the citizens commit a crime for living by themselves. In the end, I sincerely woudl like to ask kindly every reader that while celebrating favorite holidays of yours to think beforehand, and also avoid harm to environment! Or it might be your last years to celebrate the holiday. Happy upcoming New Year! Thanks!

Hello Vazira!
It's your SJ mentor.
Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing nice report with us.
Waste of disposable paper, such as receipts and tickets, is occurring frequently.
In order to reduce paper waste, South Korea is trying to convert receipts with electronic receipts and make movie tickets as e-ticket.
In countries where smartphones are distributed, I hope that the menu of restaurants will be replaced with QR codes.
As you said if we do not avoid harm to our environment, we could soon become extinct.
I hope this year will be a year of full-fledged environmental protection.
Happy New year!
Hope things are fine with you.
Best regards,
SJ mentor.

Hello Vazira,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing your report regarding environmental situations in Uzbekistan.
I strongly agree that the papers used for single use tickets are wasteful.
Nowadays, in South Korea, fortunately these tickets are being replaced by online-tickets, in which we just have to show the screen at the entrance without the need of printing them.
I am curious if other countries do the same thing.
Happy New Year! :)
Regards,
WooJoo

Greetings Vazira,
It's true that park entry paper bracelets disposed on a large scale can harm the environment. I appreciate the message you have given to all the readers.
Good Luck!
