[Thematic Report] Environmental Infrastructure in India |
---|
by Khushi Chindaliya | 28-12-2020 06:07 0 |
A little while back, I heard a sound of an explosion after midnight while I was sleeping in my bedroom. As I moved near my window to gaze at what had happened, I was left shocked. The blank ink night sky had turned bright orange. In the morning, we got the news that the incident was caused by an accident in an oil and natural gas factory. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident but it did have a tragic impact on the climate.
The incident depicts a major fracture in Indian environment infrastructure. Even though we have many regulatory policies to keep industries in check, to protect forests and to promote green living on paper, I find that we primarily lack in execution of these policies. Most policies remain unknown to most of the people and many policies are very poorly implemented.
I strongly believe that we need to reach out and engage with people to make them realize that environmental challenges are a serious concern. As people realise the urgency of the situation, we can use our voice to influence the political order of our nation.
There are private holdings and government institutions that are introducing new alternative and innovative solutions to save energy and ensure sustainable living. However, we have a long way to go. We need a shift in ideologies to improve the environment infrastructure of India. |

Hello Kushi!
It's your SJ mentor.
I hope you doing well.
Thank you for writing a report about India's environmental infrastructure.
It is important to implement environmental regulations and make policies, but it is also important to monitor them to be implemented properly.
I am sorry to hear that there was an explosion in your area.
It's a relief that there's not much damage.
Happy New year!
Best regards,
SJ mentor.

Hello Kushi,
this is your mentor WooJoo.
Warm greetings from South Korea.
Thank you for sharing such helpful report about environmental infrastructure in India.
I am sorry to say that such accident happened at your homeland, and thank God no lives were lost.
I agree with you, in the means that policies should be implemented, and they should be forced to be followed, not only to protect the environment, but also to save people from dangers.
I hope that the government finds a smart solution to improve the situations,
and no more accidents such this one repeats again.
Happy New Year! :)
Regards,
WooJoo

Hello Khusi Sister,
Kem Cho !
Greetings from Land of The Himalayas,
Even we see similar scenario in our country Nepal. There are good laws but no proper execution is seen. Despite havin several environmental infrastructures, we are not able to properly utilize them. I have always been amazed by your writing Khusi. Keep Writing.
