KRL in Jogjakarta

Jogjakarta located in Indonesia, is known as the city of students. This is due to the cheap living cost in Jogja, where the city is home to one of the most prestigious university that is Gajah Mada University (UGM). The city is also near a lot of tourist attraction, such as Candi Prambanan and Candi Borobudur located in the same complex, Keraton Jogja, Candi Ratu Boko, and many more.

KRL or electric train as a mode of public transportation has officially operated as per 10 February 2021 from Jogjakarta to Solo. This is great news, as this city has a lot of traffic due to students staying for their study and tourist visiting for the remarkable landmark and food. This new mode of transportation offers mobility to the people living there and for tourists. There are 11 stations offered by KRL Jogja-Solo, that is Tugu, Lempuyangan, Maguwo, Brambanan, Srowot, Klaten, Ceper, Delanggu, Gawok, Purwosari, and Solo Balapan. The flat tariff for the ticket is Rp8.000,- by either using a multiple trip card or e-money.

I have yet to try this public mode of transportation myself with the pandemic still around. But once all is well, I cannot wait to try it. This mode of transportation has given a greener mobility to the people.

    Hello Ida!
    It's your SJ mentor.

    Welcome back!
Hope things are fine with you.
Thank you for writing a report on the new public transportation introduced in Jogjakarta.
Electric trains are an important infrastructure that can dramatically improve population transportation.
It would also be nice if you could tell us how this electric train receives energy from the power plant.
Why don't you introduce these sources of energy, whether thermal or nuclear power plants generate electricity to operate KRL?
Also, instead of using a car, it would be good to let citizens know how it works for air quality when they use KRL.

    Green cheers!

    Sincerely,
    SJ mentor.

    Hello Ida,
    this is your mentor WooJoo.

    Warm greetings from South Korea!
Thank you for introduing us the KRL train in Jogjakarta.
Transportation is the biggest cause of greenhouse gases, so replacing current transports into eco-firendly ones is an essential progress towards sustainable Earth, and also it is helpful in decreasing the respiratory problems.
It seems that its capacity and destinations are quite helpful to students who are moving in and out from Jogjakarta.
It would be nice if you could explain us more details about KRL and its green advantages.

    Keep sharing

    Regards,
    WooJoo
