    Hello Mahsinur!
    It's your SJ mentor.

Hope things are fine with you.
Thank you for writing a report on Bangladesh's food waste.
I don't think the food waste problem is just a country's problem.
There is a lot of food waste in Korea, too, and this was also caused by our food culture of eating various side dishes.
In addition to weddings, there are cases where people prepare and leave food at parties and events, so I hope that a system will be introduced to predict the feeding number and determine the amount and menu of food accordingly.
Above all, consumers' willingness to order the right amount of food is also important.

    Keep sharing!

    Best regards,
    SJ mentor.

    Hello Mahsinur,
    this is your mentor WooJoo.

I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for sharing such a helpful report regarding the food wastage.
I did expect that the weddings would produce big amounts of food waste,
but never thought that it would be so high.
Not only weddings, but also other celebrations might create huge amount of food wastage too, obviously.
I love going to eateries, as most of people do in here, and I agree that these lifestyles might cause another problems in food waste production and management.
Moreover, South Korea's food culture is based on having many side dishes at the table when eating at restaurants or at home, so I thinkt there should be a change towards reducing food waste and only serving what we eat.

    Keep sharing

    Regards,
    WooJoo

Food wastage in wedding retails is a threat, not only to countries like Bangaladesh, but also India and USA. Specially in Hindu and Muslim dominated countries where marraige ceremonies accommodate upto 600 or a thousand guests. This not only increased the food production but also increases the number of waste produced, both of food and objects.

Interesting article on the source of food waste in Bangladesh! I do wonder, however, what the motive was behind you choosing to use a survey result of young people as the basis of identifying the main source of food waste as weddings when scientific research conducted on the topic might have been more relevant!
