It has been the decade we are observing that the dynamic increment in the population and accelerated pace of the economic growth there is maximum environmental impacts seen in the daily life there is the resultant increment in the environmental threat. Any business activities has the potential threat in the environment either by altering the power consumption, use of various factor which has the direct impact on the environment, those activities that has the high influence in the environmental degradation.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, industrial and commercial energy use (from such sources as electricity use, product transportation, industrial processes, burning fossil fuels to power boilers and produce steam, and using gasoline to power vehicles) accounts for absolutely 30 percent of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions that contributes in the global climate change phenomena. The environmental impact can also be reduced by using appropriate method for the minimization of the carbon consumption. There are many companies, factories developed so far which has either caused direct environmental pollution or which has indirectly polluted the environment. Here I had mentioned some of the start up of the Nepal which is environmentally sound, ecologically viable and environmentally sustainable.

Last decade, handicraft has emerged as one of the most flourishing business of Nepal, The demand of Nepalese handicraft is also increasing in the international markets, the production of statues, pashminas, woolen felt, silk, cotton, Dhaka products and hemp products have been facilitating many indigenous society to make the direct income. The products that are produced aren¡¯t just a commercial one but embodies the social, cultural, traditional and historical connotation. This is also one of the most eco friendly business of the Nepal, which has influential contribution on the economy of the government as well as the group of people.

Hi Sandhya, this is your mentor Yuseon:D

Thanks for your well written thematic report.
I have never heard of the company you have introduced to us, Leaf plus pvt.Ltd. It seems like it is motivated on solving environmental issues. It is also a surprise that all of the companies you have mentioned are actually start ups, not big enough to just take care for environment.

Hope lots of companies are motivated by theses activities!

    Keep up the good work,
    Yuseon

    Hi Sandhya,

This is your mentor Debbie. :)

Thank you for sharing with us about some startups in Nepal that are practicing business decisions in an environmentally friendly manner.

Leaf plus pvt.Ltd sounds like a determined company to fight against environmental and social problems. Not only it is trying to produce biodegradable products but also it is willing to get more marginalized groups in the process!

I hope there are more companies like this not only in Nepal but also in Korea and all over the world. If all companie are like Leaf plus pvt.Ltd, our world would change for the better ever quicker than before!

    Keep up with the work!

    Green Cheers,

    Debbie
