Free Report May 2021- A picture speaks a thousand words |

For the free report of this month, I want to share a drawing that I had done for an event. The topic of the artwork was promoting environmental sustainability to achieve peace on the planet. Indeed sustainable peace needs environmental sustainability, besides social and economic sustainability. Often I have felt that when trying to raise awareness about such issues, a creative approach such as artwork or poetry works better than long narratives. The idea is to plant the seed of awareness within the minds and let it grow to become one with our collective mindsets. In my drawing, I have shown how humanity has to support peace on the planet by promoting environmental conservation, protection of natural ecosystems and preservation of the planet. The hands in the form of a tree that is strengthening its roots show the supporting hands of humanity trying to hold the planet together- a damsel in distress- the green land face with its eyes closed and flowing water as cascading tresses. A man on a ladder painting the landscape indicates how each one of us has to stretch ourselves and rise above greedy mindsets to make an effort to paint a better future for the planet through preserving the nature. The different colors and patterns around show the unique biodiversity that our planet has been blessed with, something that is often trampled in the zeal for development and expansion. Your piece of work is really stunning! Though I??m not an art specialist, the color and the layout truly reflects the beauty of nature and your wish to keep peace on the Earth.

Wow did you draw it yourself? You seem to have an artistic talent:)
The brown object feels like it represents both a hand of the human and tree for the environment. The hair is the color of river and the face have the color of leaves, which I think represents mother nature.
Every aspect of your picture seems to have a meaning. I enjoyed myself think of its meanings:)
