[Free Report] Oxygen & Deforestation

by Dalima Thapa | 10-05-2021 01:38 recommendations 0

So what is deforestation? All of us are familiar with this topic.
Deforestation is mainly the cutting down, destroying or removal of trees through deliberate, natural or accidental means.
You know, oxygen comprises only about 21 percent of air's chemical component. Yet, it is an extremely important asset to life on earth. All the living organisms, starting from single-celled animals to humans, use oxygen to produce the energy, required to sustain them. Since trees are larger plants, their production of oxygen is significant. Trees and plants, in general, produce energy for growth using a process known as photosynthesis. Using light, water and carbon dioxide, a plant produces energy in the form of sugar and releases oxygen into the air.
Hence without trees, humans would not be able survive because the air would not be suitable for breathing.
Deforestation, as well as a rise in the emissions and our global temperature, affects the air that we breathe. This is because all trees take in carbon dioxide and other pollutants which are known to cause a lot of problems in the atmosphere and to us, humans. This automatically results in all of us breathing dirtier and more polluted air.

How many of us would have thought about the situation today? In the surging covid-19 pandemic, India has been badly suffering with oxygen shortage. Dozens of hospitals in a number of Indian cities and towns have run short of the gas, sending relatives of patients scrambling for oxygen cylinders, sometimes in vain.
Deforestation has been one of the major concerns and should be stopped. Hence, we can contribute to the efforts against deforestation by doing these simple, easy steps:
  • Planting a Tree where we can.
  • Going paperless at home and in the office.
  • Buying recycled products and then recycle them again.

These are some of the reforestation projects ongoing worldwide. Let's contribute and bring a change!

    Hi Dalima,

    This is your mentor Yuseon:D

In the end, it is always the choice between development and environment.
To make usage of land for humans, we start with destroying nature such as cutting down trees. We could use wood as materials, and use the land for living, or some other facilities. However, we should also keep in mind that deforestation would have negative affect to the air quality.

Thanks for giving us something to think about!
    Keep sharing,
    Yuseon

    Hi Dalima,

This is your mentor Debbie :)

Deforestation is definitely a big problem considering that we are trying to use more space for industrial and residential purposes. Lots of trees are being cut down because we do not see the long term benefits of trees. This is why, in April, when some ambassadors mentioned using wood as an alternative, eco-friendly material for architecture I could not agree completely as well..

Anyways, thanks for sharing! If you participate in any of the reforestation projects, let us know! :D

    Green Cheers,

Debbie

What a nice article on Deforestation, deforestation has a huge impact on the environment, global temperature is also escalating due to it and at this pandemic Nepal is also facing the shortage of Oxygen,
We must have to think and do accordingly,

Thanks for writing an insightful report on Deforestation,

    Keep writing
