Every year International biodiversity day is celebrated on may 22 to create a awareness among people to preserve our biodiversity. The the of 2021 is ¡°We are the part of the solution #for nature. These theme is selected to abide the momentum created by theme of previous year i.e ¡°Our solution are in nature¡±.

Biodiversity is a complex of all type of plants and animal life which are found in the planet. Biodiversity contributes to maintain equilibrium of the earth. According to UN When biodiversity has a problem humanity has a problem. Human obtain basic needs such as food, fuel, shelter, and medicine from biodiversity. Pollination, seed dispersal, nutrient recycling, water purification are supplied by ecosystems. Biodiversity has also  cultural, spiritual, religious value

Increasing human population and overconsumption leads many factors which become a reason for biodiversity loss. Human activities are destroying the ecosystem and massive loss of biodiversity occurs across the planet.

About 100,000 protected areas such as national park, wildlife reserves, marine protected area are established to provide habitat for wildlife. Human activities are destroying the ecosystem and massive loss of biodiversity occurs across the planet.

    Hi Dolma,

    This is your mentor Yuseon:d

Now I really know that International biodiversity day is May 22nd.
Thanks for you and many ambassadors to bring this topic in and reminding all of us of this memorial day.

It's also impressive that you have conducted such an active event through non face-to-face activities. It must have been even more difficult with the uncomfortable communication.

Anyways, keep up the good work!
    Green Cheers:)

    Hi Dolma,

This is your mentor Debbie :)

I??m super impressed that despite the lockdown situation, you are still doing your part to help the environment. I agree that the loss of biodiversity is a huge problem that is often neglected.

If you could introduce some of the subjects related to biodiversity that were mentioned in the speech competition, that would also be a good topic for a free report next month! It??s just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing, Dolma!

    Best Regards,

    Debbie
