Ecotourism

The multiculturalist ideas of the globalizing era also have an impact on the world economy. Tourism, which is one of the important branches of this industry, is one of the main sources of income for the country's economy. Along with social, political, technical and cultural development, tourism does not stand still, it takes on different faces. It adapts to changing times and becomes a means of caring for people.
Ecotourism is one of the most popular types of tourism today. Ecotourism is a new concept and has been used frequently in recent years. Presented under different names at different times; nature-based tourism, soft tourism, green tourism, responsible tourism, alternative tourism, cultural tourism, scientific tourism, agro-tourism, research tourism, etc. Because each of these meanings names different aspects of the process, not all of them are equal. Currently, the most common form is ecotourism. The term was first proposed in 1983 by Mexican economist Hector Seballos-Lascuria. This expression is interpreted as enjoying nature, knowing its value. In the 1990s, the industry began to develop as a form of tourism. In this regard, associations have been established in the international arena, decisions have been made and projects have been prepared.
Ecotourism is the ecology of nature, the need for purposeful protection of nature, a sensitive approach to it. Ecotourism is a type of tourism that does not harm the environment, ensures the protection of natural resources and limits their retail use.
Everyone wants to enjoy clean water, fresh air, an environmentally friendly environment and live a healthy life. However, in recent years, the likelihood of this wish coming true has decreased. The ecological cleanliness of any major city in the world can no longer guarantee human health. As the years go by and technology updates and develops, this desire drives us a little further away. Of course, it is impossible to stop the development of technology. However, it is possible to protect yourself from situations that could harm the environment. It is enough to create the necessary conditions. Recently, this desire is realized through ecotourism.
Ecotourism is a journey to take a direct interest in the current state of nature, to try to understand its problems. It is usually carried out in contact with the population. At the same time, social differences between people are eliminated to some extent.
Ecotourism uses the concept of ecotourist, not tourist. Ecotourist studies nature, goes for a walk in the fresh air, rides a bicycle, learns the ancient customs of the people, various dances, tastes food made from natural resources, and so on. Ecotourists are mainly organized in small groups. They usually prefer country houses and recreation in nature, rather than hotels. They try to comply with the conditions of nature in order to protect it. Ecotourism is organized in the form of small businesses. It involves the use of settlements and local resources built in the style of ancient architecture. Ecotourists can be both local and foreign.
Although ecotourism is nature tourism, it is slightly different. The main goal here is to protect the environment and take care of biological diversity. Ecotourism trips should not be just for fun. People are also required to be sensitive to nature. There are certain conditions for taking advantage of his material blessings and living in his bosom. Otherwise, these areas can be polluted and sometimes destroyed. Ecotourists can be trained to avoid negative situations, and the points they need to pay attention to can be clarified.
The concept was first discussed in 1992 at the Rio Circle Meeting. In May 2002, it was adopted as an official concept in the Canadian province of Quebec. The World Ecotourism Summit, attended by 1,100 delegates from 133 countries, confirmed the basic meanings of the concept. According to this decision, ecotourism is a concept that ensures the sustainability of the earth's natural resources, supports the economic development of local peoples, protects and controls social and cultural associations.
Countries that adopt this concept must also accept a number of principles and conditions.

- Develop ecotourism policy and plan;

- Define rules for ecotourism;

- To develop, market and promote products in the field of ecotourism;

- To determine the income and expenses of ecotourism;

The World Tourism Organization and the United Nations Environment Program have declared 2002 the Year of Ecotourism and Mountains.
Our country has always been one of the world's centers of attention with its underground and surface resources. The existence of 9 climate zones in the territory of Azerbaijan, more than 4500 plant species, more than 15600 species of fauna, forests, mountains, mineral water sources, etc. creates conditions for the development of ecotourism. Intensive use of nature's resources today may lead to certain losses in the future. Although this is considered a natural process, measures are being taken to prevent it. Reserves and parks are being created, greenery is being increased, and environmental protection campaigns are being held. The widespread use of ecotourism can help solve these problems with world experience. It will also introduce the rich tourist regions of our country and contribute to the rapid development of the country's economy.

people must protect the nature in which they rest so that our future will be natural

    Hi Nadir,

    This is your mentor Yuseon:D

    Tourism is something like both sides of the blade. Normally, as tourism is regarding foreigners visiting other countries, they tend to have less responsibility in cleaning up the environment. Also tourism naturally leads to lots of trash consuming everything 'eating-out'.
    That is why Eco tourism seems like a good solution to reverse these thoughts.

    Thanks for sharing this with us;)
