When we think about conserving the environment, we cannot sidestep the fact that we have to start by changing something in our daily lives. And by this, we are safe to say that it's the carbon emission rate that we need to minimize at the end of the day. There are many avenues in which we can achieve this like changing our cooking means, shopping means, transportation means, among others.
This article will draw your attention to the transportation means. We all need to move, and we mostly use private or public vehicles. These machines ease our movements, but their carbon emission is quite unrivaled. I want you to think of how much carbon fumes your car (or parent's) releases in a day's drive. Dive more to think about the cumulative carbon emissions from yours, your neighbor's, your district, country and then worldwide! Firstly, daily, then weekly, monthly and then annually. Surely, that must be devastating to contemplate about for an environmentalist. However, thanks to a wonderful invention of green cars that is giving us hope in reducing our daily carbon print. Green vehicles refer to vehicles with reduced carbon emissions. These can be electric, hybrid or fuel cell cars. Uganda is leading Africa's green vehicle revolution. A state owned Kiira motors car manufacturing company presents the next generation of public and private transport for cities within the region. So far, they are manufacturing two kinds of electric vehicles: Kiira EV and Kayoola solar powered bus, the first of their kind on the African continent. The Kayoola Sun powered bus depends on lithium-ion batteries to control an electric engine that's coupled to a 2-speed pneumatic move transmission. This innovation serves to moderate the environment and open wellbeing. These batteries supplant the diesel motor engine hence the engine noise and combustion of petrol are replaced by a delicate sound and zero carbon emanations respectively. The Kayoola Sun powered Bus is simpler to preserve since there's no require of changing oil as in other cars, nor repairing pressure driven lines that run through a routine transport. The transport runs 80km between energizes. The Kiira Ev Smack may be a 5-seater drive fueled by a rechargeable battery bank and an inner combustion engine-based generator. This course of activity of two power sources ensures boundless reach and increases the practicality of the powertrain hence boosting fuel sparing. These are undoubtedly putting smiles on environmentalists¡¯ faces as they are in position to minimize carbon emissions thereby reducing pollution and greenhouse gasses. With electricity less expensive than the petrol, these electric cars are cost effective and will help one save more. The solar Kayoola bus even cuts the costs further as it uses solar energy from the sun. These cars are also more convenient as one won.t need to the fuel station but charge at designated places with less congestion, a household socket can also be used! They also incur low costs of maintenance as they do not need oil to lubricate engines or any service to the engine. Since technology has become inevitable to work with in the modern world, merging it with environmental conservation is a milestone which can ensure realistic carbon neutrality. With Uganda leading Africa in taking on this challenge, minimized carbon emission-transportation means can be hoped for.

Hi Ssenyange,
This is your mentor Yuseon:D
You're right, green vehicles gives us an excellent opportunity to reduce carbon
emissions happening in our daily lives. Uganda has such green vehicles. It's good
to know how other nations are utilizing green vehicles. Solar buses are quite unfamiliar in Korea yet. Our buses use hydrogen to make electricity, and this emits water instead of harmful gas.
Thanks for sharing:)
Thanks for sharing this report;)

Dear Debbie Mentor,
Thank you so much for your compliment.
Yes, the Kayoola sun bus battery is powered by solar energy. The battery however doesn't support a diesel engine but rather replaces it. Supplant is a synonym for replace, may be it confused you.
Thank you so much for your compliment once again

Dear Ssenyange,
This is your mentor Debbie. :)
Thanks for introducing Kiira EV and Kayoola solar powered bus! I??ve never seen a solar powered bus but it seems like it??s working in Africa! From this we realize that there would be different renewable energy suitable for vehicles in different places. So just to make sure I understood correctly, is a Kayoola Sun bus battery charged by solar energy? And that battery is supporting a diesel engine? In that way, it might also be called a hybrid maybe! :O
Green Cheers,
Debbie
