Zero waste is generating less waste and reprocessing of waste for use in new products, producing reusable and decomposable products, and getting rid of unnecessary packaging. Zero Waste plays a big role in our society since it’s the backbone of making the world green and creating a waste-free life. Although it has a favorable impact on people’s lives and the environment, there are some drawbacks to living a zero-waste lifestyle. Advantages; *Reducing climate change impact through recycling, reducing, and reusing. *Minimizing the amount of waste that is harming the planet. *Producing higher quality items that are designed to last longer. *Building a more sustainable society. *Creating jobs through collecting and handling recyclable materials, composting, etc. Disadvantages; *Not all products having zero waste alternative. *Requiring more expensive products which can be super hard to find. *Taking time and energy to lead a zero-waste lifestyle. Without a doubt, the benefits of zero waste outweigh the downside. Instead of paying attention to its negative, it’s better to take any action to protect our Earth for ourselves and future generations making at least brave steps like refusing non-biodegradable plastic or recycling what we have. |

Well written thematic article on our September's theme zero waste.
Yes, as all things do zero waste movement has advantages and disadvantages.
Making waste is easy and needs less-effort, but zero waste? It's needs quite an energy for us to naturally do it in action.

Hello Sara,
this is your mentor Joon.
Though Zero waste is currently accepted as a campaign to people's mind,
we should make it a lifestyle. Everyone should try their best on reducing,
reusing, refusing, recycling on goods, and companies should make products
that can rot, bio-degradable, easily. By doing so, we can reduce climate change,
produce higher quality items, building sustainable society, and create different
job opportunities just as you have mentioned. There are different Pros and Cons
of Zero Waste, but I also believe that it has much more positive side than negative
one. Hope more people join the track.
