About Land Pollution

by Chabala Chisenga | 23-10-2021 06:39 recommendations 0

Land pollution is a major problem around the world and is caused by a variety of factors. Some of main causes of soil pollution include deforestation and consequent erosion, agriculture, industry, mining, landfills and illegal dumping of waste as well as urbanization and construction.

Land pollution is a result of dumping garbage, waste, and other toxins making the land contaminated or polluted.

The source of land pollution comes from the human element such as littering, and waste that is washed ashore from boats, oil rigs, and sewage outlets.

Landfills release the greenhouse gas methane, which may lead to global warming.

Different kinds of land pollution have been known to have adverse affects on the health of animals and humans. The harmful chemicals that can get into the soil and water can cause cancers, deformities, and skin problems.

Thank You!

Hello Chabala, this is your mentor Joon.

Land pollutions are caused by different means, but is primary due to artificial reasons. Those
contaminated with massive oils, and radioactive materials are hard to be purified, and those
with just simple landfill could be cured relatively easily. However, we should not approach
this issue lightly as there are different disease caused by it. Mercury Poisoning by industrial
factories can be an example. Therefore, we need restrictions and check system so that our
    land is not polluted.

Well read, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
