What is the Green Delhi App

'Green Delhi App' is a smartphone application launched by the Delhi Government to enable citizen participation for maintaining vigilance against pollution. So far, the app has proven to be a success with about 23,000 complaints received till date with 93% of the complaints successfully resolved.

What is a Green War Room

Government of Delhi is also planning to fight against pollution in real time through green war room. It is a program management room, created in collaboration with the University of Chicago and GDI partners inside the Delhi Secretariat with 10 technical experts running it. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai launched the war room to monitor the efficacy of pollution-reducing measures.

This pollution-fighting room is equipped with high-end technology to monitor pollution levels, hotspot conditions, and NASA ISRO images of stubble burning. Three large LCD screens present in the room will display real-time pollution data which includes air quality and data PM 2.5 and PM 10.

What is Pusa Bio Decomposer

Delhi Government is in talks with the central government to use Pusa Bio Decomposer. Pusa Bio Decomposer helps in quicker stubble decompose and do away the need to set fire to the fields after harvesting crops.

Conclusion

The above steps laid out by the government to combat climate change comes after CM Arvind Kejriwal launched a war against pollution campaign to keep a check on the existing levels of pollution in the city. Every city and every country can learn from the steps that are being taken by the Delhi Government as there is something to learn from everything. The fight against climate change is a global fight and we all stands together in it. The only way to win is to keep a watchful eye on new ideas being implemented in other countries and incorporate those that works for you.

Hello Pranav, this is your mentor Hannah.
    Sorry for the late comment.
I like your article with small topics!
Green War rooms shows how Delhi Government tries to combat air pollution, beside technical programs. It would be great if the room gets bigger with more experts and devleoped programs as time goes.
Thank you for your great article and please keep up with your wonderful work :)

Hello Pranav, this is your mentor Joon.

I have heard that India is also facing hard time dealing with severe air pollution. I have once
heard Taj Mahal is now on the process of recovery from colorings caused by air pollution.
Though people often ignore its significance, air pollution is a serious issue. Researches done
by WHO shows Air Pollution is expected to reduce average life span of people near the area.
Governments should take this issue seriously and carefully, and I believe government of New Delhi is now conscious about its seriousness. Hope more progression is made, and it would be best if it could be reduced.

    Well read your article,

    Best,

    Joon
