Dear all, Hope you are doing well and safe at this time. Wishing you all a very productive year! Even though it happened a little while ago, I mean what I would like to tell you, yet I still would like to share with you a little bit. You might have read my previous posts about my participation at Pre-COP 26 Summit in Milan, Italy. The week was indeed full of events and memories but one of the most memorable was the tree planting event. It was so much spontaneous for me as I could not sign up but there was one more available spot to partake. Imagine, my happiness! Do you know why? Because it was my very first time to plant a tree, especially in another country and at the most significant event! Could I ever think I would learn from young experts?! Yes, young experts studying at high school about the environment and they are young learners, volunteers at the place we were, Lombardy with mayor and city administrative team. I had no clue how the process would go and what my responsibilities would be. Yet, again, thanks to the organizing team, we were told to proceed further. Step 1: Dig the planting hole.Step 2: Massage/loosen/trim the roots and remove the nursery stake.Step 3: Place the tree in the center of the hole.Step 4: Build a soil berm.Step 5: Stake the tree.Step 6: Tie the tree.Step 7: Water the tree thoroughly!Step 8: Add Mulch.Overall, again tree planting will always be in my heart and I will repeat it very soon! Definitely, suggest you spend some time with friends or family, worth trying. Hope I could convey it, thanks! |

Hello Vazira, this is your mentor Hannah.
Although it's a free report, tree planting is one of the key actions of our January's theme Net Zero.
The steps of tree planting you introduced to us seems not that difficult. In Korea, April 5th is designated as tree planting day. I will maybe follow your steps of tree planting on 4/5.
Thank you for your great article and please keep up with your wonderful work :)
Sincerly,
Hannah

Hello Vazira, this is your mentor Joon.
Planting Trees is a meaningful activity which could affect various problems in positive way. Trees consume Carbon Dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas, as a process of making energy and emits Oxygen as return. It also helps to purify water and help soil to store abundant water so it does not dry so that desertification process does not occur. Yet, due to industrialization and development, trees were cut down and our soil lost its ability. To restore, we need actions like what you have done. Hope more people participate in such movement.
Well read your article, and let's keep up.
Best,
Joon
