Free Report: March - Animal cruelty despite legal restrictions.

(Bringing this back again)
One after another, 30 thousand animals, including water buffaloes, goats,
chicken, and pigeons were slaughtered during a single festival named ¡®Gadhimai festival¡¯ at the Gadhimai Temple region in Bara district of Nepal in 2019. If that figure shocks you, hold on. I have even more dreadful facts to make you see how inhumane a human can be. 500 thousand and 200 thousand animals were respectively slaughtered brutally in 2009 and 2005 in the same Gadhimai festival within the last two days of the one-month festival. Hundreds of butchers gather with curved knives willing to decapitate water buffalo and several other animals from
rats to goats. After continuous 6 to 7 hours of slaughtering, the butchers emerge from the arena with blood-soaked hands and feet. ¡°It¡¯s always fun to behead animals,¡± the butchers say barbarically. What in the world can be more inhumane than this? They have no compassion, no spirituality. The only thing they have is blind faith in a superstitious belief that slaughtering animals will bring good fortune in their lives and fulfill their wishes if they promise to offer animals to the temple.
Does this have any logical base? A big ¡®NO¡¯.
To this day, this ¡®world¡¯s biggest animal sacrifice festival¡¯ is celebrated by the Bihari people and some people of southern Nepal. Despite security patrols along Nepal¡¯s porous border with India, dozens of trucks arrive in town carrying animals shriveled from dehydration and lack of food. People of all ages and different walks of life gather together once in 5 years in Bariyapur of Bara district to attend this carnival.
The ways to stop thousands of these kinds of ongoing brutal acts is to create a sense of compassion in the hearts of people and aware them for
not believing in these kinds of illogical practices and traditions and strict
implementation of laws against animal rights¡¯ violations and global unification of like-minded people for animal rights and freedom.
So let's humanize the soulless humans for a better planet we all crave to live in.
Let's create awareness!

Hello Bidhata, this is your mentor Joon.

I do not understand the fundamental logic behind such cruelty. Slaughtering animals for consumption, even though there are different opinions surrounding it, at least have some justification behind it. However, using them just for entertainment cannot be justified. It is just that they do not have slight sense of empathy. I have no more to add as it would only get emotional.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon

Hello Bidhata, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

We can easily find many cases where many animals are slaughtered for some religious and traditional festivals. Apart from several deaths of animals, this kind of festival has destroyed the environment in various ways. I was shocked to hear of the number of animals being slaughtered in just two days. How can we create a sense of compassion in people??s heart? What do you think is the most feasible and effective solution to the methods you mentioned in your article?

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon
