Thematic report
Topic:Soil Pollution.

Soil have great meaning for human kind. most good civilizations hve depend on a good soil. soil pollution is a big challenge for our environment today ,soil pollution is a term which may not been heard very frequently but constant check on soil pollution is very important.soil pollution is a contamination of fertile soil which reduce the productivity of soil.because of various toxic pollutants.its very dengerous and adversely affected the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil.

There are many types of soil pollutions such as natural pollutants,man-made pollutan-
ts, agriculture practices, radioactive pollutants, industrial waste, plastic bags and many mores.

Source of pollutions:
Plastic bags: plastic bags are made from low density polyethylene in vertually indestructib-
le Create colossal environmental hazard.leaf over food, vegetable waste etc.on which cows and dogs feed may die due to the choking by plastic bags plastic is a non degradable and burning of plastic in a garbage dumps released highly toxic and poisonous gases like carbon monoxide, phosgene and other poisonous compounds.
Agriculture sources: Agriculture chemicals especially fertilizer and pesticides pollute the soil
Industrial sources: large numbers of industrial chemicals , acid, dyes, etc.find there way in to the soil And are known to create many hazards including cancer

    Control of soil pollutions:
1) indiscriminate disposal of solid waste should be avoided
2) to control soil pollution we need to stop using plastic bags (Go Green 🌱)
3) sewage should be treated properly before using as fertilizer and landfills The organic matter domastic , agricultural and other waste should be segregated and subjected to vermicomposting which generate useful manure as a by product
4) industrial waste prior to disposal should be properly treated for removing hazardous materials.

Hello Vaishnavi, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

There are many different products made from polyethylene. These products include not only plastic bags, but also plastic containers, polyethylene pipes, and so on. These kinds of products stay underground for a very long time before they decompose.. Meanwhile, they cause adverse effects such as the soil pollution. The fourth of your method to control the soil pollution is about removing hazardous materials. We all know that most pharmaceutical products, such as pills and tablets, are almost innocuous for us if we take them properly. However, we should know that they are also one of the most hazardous soil pollutants in the soil.

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon

Hello Vaishnavi, this is your mentor Joon.

As we are living on top of the soil, we are benefiting a lot from it; however, we do not have proper or enough responsibility compared to what it provides us. Most of the soil pollution originates from human released wastes. The most simple solution to solve soil pollution is to limit the waste released. Everyone knows the answer. However, it is hard to be achieved as we are living in industrialized world. Plastic bag is especially a problem as you have mentioned. It produces millions of microplastics which could simmered to ground as flow into groundwater causing water pollution. We should stop using it and concentrate more on upcycliing.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
