Free Report-Briquette and pellet project-a clean energy solution

by Lhamu dolma Sherpa | 15-04-2022 11:12 recommendations 0

Briquette and pellet are the densified biomass fuel compatible for household as well as industrial use and reliable and sustainable option of fossil fuel. Which is made by collecting unusable and raw renewable biomass. The biomass can be collected from the forest such as bushes, grasses, leaves, invasive species and waste by-products of agriculture, sawmills, sugar, and ply factories. The pellets replace the use of coal and briquettes replace the use of firewood. The project mitigates climate change by replacing the use of fossil fuel energy with biomass energy. It also produces a low rate of co2 and costs a low price. In Nepal, many briquettes and pellet industries were established with the aim of diminishing greenhouse gas emissions of Nepal and increasing employment opportunities, revenues, good health, well-being, and supporting gender equality in local communities in the Sarlahi and Mahottari districts of Nepal. The project uses known and tested modern technology by providing affordable energy.

Benefits

Decrease the rate of forest fire Due to the collection of unusable forest biomass.

Contribute to minimizing co2 emission and decreasing pollution.

Decrease the rate of climate change by replacing fossil fuel energy with biomass energy.

Providing employment opportunities to the local people.

Easy for transportation, handling, and storage.

It is a very interesting report, dear Lhamu. No doubt, this project can be replicated and used in other countries. In my country, Mexico, it would be a great option.

Hello Lhamu, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

There has been a lot of research in the field of power generation. Biomass is one of them which are deemed as substitute resources to generate power. As time goes by, exhaustion of resources accelerates. In this regard, substitue resources are becoming more important. A lot of biomass power plants are currently being constructed in many countries. Not only so they have the advantages in your article, but we should know that its construction cost and operational cost are relatively lower than other types of power plants! Although Its power-generation capacity and efficiency is not enough to replace others with biomass power plants, we need to create more investment on this type of eco-friendly power generation.

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon

Hello Lhamu, this is your mentor Joon.

Using biomass as a source of energy is quite desirable way in the scope of nature. There are several limitations though. Production by biomass does not create enough energy, or does not have enough efficiency, which mean low energy transfer rate compared to other sources. Also, we cannot say it does not produce any carbon gas as it is natural that gas is emitted during the generation process. It is important how we could control the gas emitted and reuse it so that it is not released to atmosphere.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
