Free Report - Ecological succession

by Adetomiwa Sijuade | 01-06-2022 06:47 recommendations 0

Ecological succession is a long term, gradual or progressive series of changes occuring in the structure, composition, variety or diversity and number of species in an area till a stable or climax community is established.
An area of bare ground, either on land or under water, hardly remains that way for a long time. This area in course of time becomes colonized by a variety of species which will occupy the bare ground. The occupation of this bare ground changes the environment which results in the development of new organisms.
With time, bigger or stronger species of organisms begin to appear and at the same time the original species are wiped out. As more species of organisms continue to appear in the habitat, it will come to a time when a stable community called climax community will be formed.

Hello Adetomiwa, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

It is usual for there to be a change in the food change after the appearance of new species. However, others cannot. The ecosystem has changed continuously along with that mechanism. The problem is that we must not affect the mechanism of their ecosystem. However, human activities has affected it, and pose a threat to biodiversity..

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon

Hello Adetomiwa, this is your mentor Joon.

Ecological Succession is a natural process which earth's system had in order to increase the sustainability. Indeed it was efficient system before the beginning of burning the field technique. By using the mechanism stated in your article, humans started to make artificial fires and grow crops on the site which increases the productivity in short term. However, in long term, it is negatively affecting our environment. Such practices should be stopped. We always have to remember that nature is on the most beautiful point when it stays as it is.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
