Nature and I: Thematic Report for July

by Bidhata Pathak | 09-08-2022 01:32 recommendations 0

When we think of nature, we think of greenery, peace, and an escape from our hectic schedules; we think of refreshing sceneries and mind-boggling wonders. We think of beauty and grace. But is nature only this? We have been so caught up in seeing nature as an asset that we often overlook how it is our biggest liability. We exist only because nature does. If the exemplary views of Mount Everest are nature, so is the contamination of the local watershed there. If the beautiful sceneries of the beaches are nature, so is the marine pollution and degradation we humans cause. Let's take a moment to acknowledge that nature is not to be taken as just an asset where we take from. It is also our liability for ourselves. It is our responsibility to work for its preservation and thus our own. When I think of nature and I, I remember not to forget this. Do you?

Hello Bidhata, this is your mentor Chelwoon.

¡°We exist only because nature does.¡± We cannot overemphasize the meaning of this sentence. It seems right to say that nature is our responsibility, rather than just our assets. We can never do anything without the help of nature. I hope more awareness will be generated so that more people can take care of the earth.

    Thank you for the article!

    Regards,
    Chelwoon

Hello Bidhata, this is your mentor Joon.

I agree. Nature should not be considered only as the resource, but a thing we should take responsibility about it. We tend to have policy to think of what nature has provided us as granted, and it should not be considered that way. Nature is limited just as our life. We live our life as we do not have end, yet we would eventually face it on our end of the day. Like our health, we should carefully treat, and care for it before it is too late.

Well read your article, and let's keep up!

    Best,

    Joon
