28th Ambassadorship, Month 6, Report 2 Month: August Free report: Topic: International Youth Day 2022 and environment Every year 12th of August is recognized as International Youth Day. It is the chance to recognize and mainstream young people's voices, and efforts. Various independently organized celebrations/ programs take place all over the world that highlight the importance of young people's participation in political, economic, and social lives and processes. This year the theme for International Youth Day in 2022 is "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a world for all ages”. We all know that the global population is largely made up of young people, and they will have to deal with the effects of current environmental policies for a longer period of time than their elders. Young people can actively contribute to preserving and enhancing the environment. It is youth who should work in mainstream to protect environment. They have the ability to alter their way of life and its impact on the environment. Some ways are by implementing eco-friendly practices, recycling various items, and conserving resources like water and electricity, they may make their homes, schools, and youth organizations more ecologically friendly. Engaging young people in environmental preservation has an impact on their views and behaviors directly, as well as on their families and possibly on their parents. So, every government should focus on youths as they are pillar for nation and utilize them for raising awareness on environmental issues. |

Hello Alok, this is your mentor Chelwoon.
“Youth will change the world.” I remember that another ambassador said this sentence in her article. We must not forget that young people are the hope of the future. I believe that ‘education?? is the key to encourage more young people to take an interest in environmental protection.

Hello Alok, this is your mentor Joon.
Youth is a driving force of the society. Without them, the markets would be depressed and may lead to recession. Yet, they are not well aware of environmental issues on the other hand and should be educated more by seniors.
It was a pleasure for me to mentor you on past 6 months. What I feel, and realize now is that I have not been knowledgeable enough to provide more information related to different subjects. Hope you could keep up with environmental activities as well as your other works. Once again, thank you for following me.
