Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has included Feb 2 as one of the important environment days on its official website (https://moef.gov.in/en/about-the-ministry/important-environmental-days/)
Indian wetlands have been threatened by introduction of exotic plants (like water hyacinth and salvinia), by rapid urbanization, expansion of agriculture, industrial pollution of wetlands, dredging, salination etc. There is no one fized solution to all these multitude of problems.
