Wildlife preservation is the practice of protecting wild plant and animal species and their habitats. It is crucial for the long-term survival of various ecosystems, as well as all life on earth. However, since recent decades Wildlife is facing many challenges, including rapid urbanization, habitat destruction, and illegal poaching. In this report, we will explore the importance of wildlife preservation, the effects of rapid urbanization on wildlife, and ways to protect wildlife. Wildlife preservation is crucial for the maintenance of biodiversity, which is, in turn, essential for the equilibrium of ecosystems on earth. Biodiversity plays several roles, including regulation of the weather, maintaining soil fertility, and maintaining the global food chain. Additionally, preserving wildlife can also provide economic benefits for developing countries, as many people rely on tourism and other activities that depend on ecosystems. In the 21st century, humanity has experienced a high population growth rate, which has caused a rapid urbanization that has led to significant habitat and ecosystems, causing declines in many wildlife populations. As cities expand, natural habitats are destroyed, and animals are forced to live in smaller and more isolated areas. This makes them more vulnerable to disease, predation, and other threats. Furthermore, urbanization often results in an increase in pollution and human-wildlife conflicts. There are various ways to protect wildlife, including habitat restoration, protected areas, and regulation of wildlife trade. Habitat restoration involves restoring degraded habitats to their original state. Protected areas are designated areas where wildlife is preserved and protected from human activities. Regulations on wildlife trade can help reduce illegal poaching and trafficking. Additionally, educating the public about the importance of wildlife conservation can help raise awareness and promote responsible behavior. In conclusion, wildlife preservation is essential for maintaining biodiversity, providing various benefits, and preserving ecosystems for future generations. Rapid urbanization is one of the major threats to wildlife, but there are ways to protect and restore habitats and regulate wildlife trade. By working together to promote responsible behavior and raise awareness, we can help preserve our natural world and ensure a sustainable future. |

Hello Nestor! This is your mentor Yewon.
Your report is so well-structured, and communicates the point well!
In my opinion, not only rapid population growth but also rapid industrial growth had led to rapid urbanization! And I totally agree with your point of view that how urbanization affects wildlife.
You also mentioned several ways to protect wildlife, and I especially sympathize with your opinion that education for the public would be helpful!
Thank you for your hard work! And sorry for the late comment.
I hope to read your next report too!!

Hello Nestor! This is your mentor James.
I hope you're doing great!
As you have said, wildlife preservation is crucial for securing biodiversity. And biodiversity is also important to maintain equilibrium of the global ecosystem. However, this chain has been disrupted by expansion of human society due to industrial development and population growth. As I have commented on other articles, now is the exact time for governments and environmental organizations to gather and find a solution that would provide balance between human development and wildlife conservation.
Thanks for your report! Let's keep writing!
