Nepal is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including several endangered species, making it a unique and valuable part of the global ecosystem. Overall, wildlife plays a crucial role in Nepal's cultural, ecological, and economic well-being, and protecting it is essential for the country's sustainable development.

Some of the most notable wildlife species found in Nepal include; 

  1. Bengal Tiger: Nepal is home to approximately 235 Bengal tigers, which are mainly found in the Terai lowlands and the Chitwan National Park.

  2. One-horned Rhinoceros: The one-horned rhinoceros is another iconic species found in Nepal, with the majority of the population residing in the Chitwan National Park.

  3. Snow Leopard: The snow leopard is a rare and elusive big cat found in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal.

  4. Red Panda: The red panda is a cute and cuddly animal found in the high-altitude forests of Nepal, particularly in the Langtang National Park.

  5. Asiatic Elephant: The Asiatic elephant can be found in the Terai region of Nepal, particularly in the Bardia National Park.

    First of all, thank you for sharing some examples of wildlife species in Nepal. It is the first time for me to get to know about those animals, except for bengal tiger and leopard!

    Reading your report, I thought that Nepal is the country with rich biodiversity! I hope that Nepal would preserve wildlife and the ecosystem well through continuously having interest in this issue!

    I can see that you have wrote your free report regarding the topic about wildlife in Nepal! Wildlife is important in all three factors that you have stated above in not only Nepal, but in various regions around the world. I love the fact that you have listed specific examples of various species in Nepal! I am particularly interested to hear that the Red Panda also lives there. Maybe I should take a visit sometime to witness all of those magnificent species.

    Great work @Kaushai, I think preserving forests in Nepal can also go a long way to protect wildlife since forest provide food and shelter for wildlife.

    Combating deforestation and embracing reforestation and afforestation is instrumental towards the protection of biodiversity in Nepal.
