Air pollution is a significant environmental issue that has been a growing concern for decades. It is caused by both human and natural sources, including transportation, industrialization, energy generation, agricultural practices, wildfires, and volcanic eruptions. The impact of air pollution on human health and the environment is widespread, making it an urgent issue that needs to be addressed. One of the primary sources of air pollution is transportation. The burning of fossil fuels in cars, trucks, and airplanes releases harmful pollutants into the air, including nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis, and lung cancer, as well as cardiovascular diseases and premature death (1). Another significant contributor to air pollution is industrialization. The growth of industries has resulted in the release of pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and carbon monoxide. These pollutants can have harmful effects on human health, including respiratory problems and premature death (2). Energy generation is also a major source of air pollution. The burning of fossil fuels in power plants releases pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems and contribute to the formation of acid rain, which can damage buildings and monuments (3). Agricultural practices such as livestock rearing, fertilizers, and pesticides also contribute to air pollution. Livestock rearing releases ammonia and methane, while the use of fertilizers and pesticides releases nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds. These pollutants can have harmful effects on human health and the environment (4). The impact of air pollution on the environment is significant. Air pollution can harm plants and animals, including marine life. It can also contribute to climate change, as pollutants such as carbon dioxide and methane trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to global warming (5). There are several solutions to air pollution, including the use of clean energy sources, transportation changes, sustainable agricultural practices, and government policies and regulations. The use of clean energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydropower can help reduce air pollution. Encouraging the use of public transportation, electric vehicles, and bicycles can also help reduce air pollution from transportation. Implementing sustainable agricultural practices such as reducing the use of fertilizers and pesticides can help reduce air pollution from agriculture. Governments can also implement policies and regulations to control air pollution, such as imposing emissions standards on industries and vehicles (6). In conclusion, air pollution is a significant environmental issue that needs to be addressed urgently. It is caused by both human and natural sources and has harmful effects on human health and the environment. There are several solutions to air pollution, and by working together, we can create a cleaner, healthier environment for ourselves and future generations. Schrenk, C., & Tzanis, C. (2019). Hello again Kenya! This is your mentor Yewon.
Before I start, I apologize for the late comment.
This time, you have written a report about air pollution!
I agree with your opinion that industrialization had deepened air pollution.
You have also mentioned several solutions of air pollution, and I think all of those solutions would be very helpful to improve air quality!
Thank you for your meaningful report! Great job!

Hello Kenya! This is your mentor James.
First of all, terribly sorry for the late comment!
Great work in elaborating the general concept of air pollution, its sources, its effects, and finally solutions to solve the pollution problem. Industrialization of rapidly developing nations are prone to indiscriminate air pollutant discretion. Thus, careful handling of gas emissions as well as practical law enforcement is needed for air quality improvement.
Thanks for writing such a meaningful report! Let's keep up the good work.
