[APRIL THEMATIC REPORT]
There are currently eight planets in our solar system, but only one planet where there exists life. There can be multiple reasons as to why that is so, but there is one major reason behind this existence. No other planets in the solar system have this invisible blanket of gases, water vapour, and other small elements that we call atmosphere, or more generally air. Air is a part of atmosphere and can be described as an invisible blanket wrapping the environment all around us. Since the onset of the Industrial revolution in 1850, the quality of air has kept degrading. Air pollution can be described as degradation in the quality of air or contamination of it due to natural or anthropogenic reasons. The natural sources of air pollution include volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and dust storms, while the human-made sources of air pollution include industrial activities, transportation, burning fossil fuels, and agriculture. The impact of air pollution on human health is significant. Exposure to air pollutants can cause respiratory problems, heart disease, and even cancer. It is estimated that air pollution causes about 7 million premature deaths every year globally. Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are particularly vulnerable to the effects of air pollution. Moreover, air pollution can also cause environmental damage, such as acid rain, ozone depletion, and climate change. One of the most common air pollutants is particulate matter, which is a mixture of solid and liquid particles that are suspended in the air. These particles can range in size from a few nanometers to several microns, and they can be inhaled into the lungs, causing respiratory problems. The sources of particulate matter include burning fossil fuels, dust from construction sites, and agricultural activities. Another common air pollutant is nitrogen dioxide, which is a gas that is produced by burning fossil fuels. Exposure to high levels of nitrogen dioxide can cause respiratory problems, and it can also contribute to the formation of smog. Smog is a type of air pollution that is formed when pollutants, such as nitrogen dioxide and volatile organic compounds, react with sunlight. There are several ways to reduce air pollution. One of the most effective ways is to reduce the use of fossil fuels. This can be achieved by promoting the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, and by encouraging the use of public transportation, walking, and cycling. Additionally, improving the energy efficiency of buildings and vehicles can also help to reduce air pollution. Another way to reduce air pollution is to implement regulations and policies that limit the emission of pollutants from industries and vehicles. This can be achieved by setting emissions standards and requiring industries to use cleaner technologies. Additionally, promoting the use of electric vehicles and incentivizing the use of low-emission vehicles can also help to reduce air pollution. In conclusion, air pollution is a significant environmental and health concern that requires urgent action. While there are several sources of air pollution, it is possible to reduce it by promoting the use of renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and implementing regulations and policies that limit emissions from industries and vehicles. By taking action to reduce air pollution, we can improve the health and well being of humans, animals, and the planet. References:- 1. Hello Pranav! This is your mentor Yewon.
Before I start, I apologize for the late comment.
You have written a report about air pollution, which was our April theme.
There are several subtopics that are included in your report, but among them, I want to focus on the impact of air pollution on human health.
For our health and some more benefits, we should try to solve the air pollution problem!
Thank you for your meaningful report! Great job!

Also one more thing!
I've noticed that your email storage is almost full, so my notification or my reminder emails are not quite reaching you.
Please check your mail box and maybe secure some space for future emails to be received!
Thanks Pranav.

Hello Pranav! This is your mentor James.
First of all, sorry for my late comment.
Great job elaborating on the causes and effects of air pollution, as well as suggesting some viable solutions to the problem. I personally think that the energy transition to a renewable, clean source would be the ultimate goal for our globe. Additionally, government intervention with the emission of wastes in both industrial sector and private transportation is also needed for a holistic cooperation!
Thank you for this writing meaningful report! Let's keep up the good work.
