The E-Waste Recycling Project aimed to collect and donate electronic devices to students in Taguig that are not able to receive school education amidst the pandemic, even through an online manner. Our objective for this project was to provide sufficient material for these students to receive education through these devices by connecting to online classes. The donation was carried out by spreading awareness about the project and its goals through posters around our members¡¯ schools and boxes to collect this material. This year, a total of 9 mobile phones, 4 laptops, 21 headphones and earbuds, 43 reusable batteries, 6 battery chargers, numerous cords & cables, and 3 tablets were collected thanks to the efforts of the community around us. To ensure the functionality of these devices, we tested them, and to facilitate online access, each device was equipped with prepaid load cards for Wi-Fi connectivity. The e-waste recycling project undertaken by our organization aligns with multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals. The primary objective of this initiative is to contribute to SDG 4: Quality Education. Specifically, our project aims to address the educational challenges faced by students in Taguig who are unable to receive schooling during the pandemic, even through online means. By collecting and donating electronic devices, we provide these students with the necessary tools to access online classes and receive a quality education. Our project targets the SDG 4 target of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education by promoting equal access to educational resources for all students, regardless of their circumstances. Furthermore, our project also supports SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. Through e-waste recycling, we promote the responsible management of electronic waste. Instead of discarding these devices, we collect them to be repurposed and donated to students in need. By doing so, we contribute to the reduction of e-waste and promote the circular economy, aligning with SDG 12's objective of sustainable consumption and production patterns. To carry out the donation process, we employed various strategies to achieve our goals. Firstly, we spread awareness about the project and its objectives through posters placed in our members' schools. This helped to educate the community about the importance of recycling e-waste and supporting students' education. Additionally, we placed collection boxes in strategic locations to gather the donated materials. This approach promotes community involvement and encourages individuals to participate actively in the project, fostering a sense of collective responsibility toward education and environmental sustainability. |

Hello again William!! This is your mentor James.
For your June free report, E-waste recycling system has been mainly discussed. The percentage of waste electric devices are increasing in overall municipal waste composition due to economic and technological development. I'm sincerely glad that your project was able to collect such amount of electronic devices to be reused by the ones in need. Also, raising awareness regarding proper waste device treatment is also an admirable activity of your project.
Thanks for writing such a meaningful report! Great work.
