Climate change has emerged as a formidable threat, impacting not just the region but the entire world. In this article, we will delve into the detailed causes and consequences of climate change, focusing on Madagascar's vulnerability. From deforestation to extreme weather events, we'll explore the harsh reality that demands urgent action. However, hope lies in initiatives like the Bondy Initiative and AIKA Youth for Earth, along with national alliances on biodiversity conservation. Together, we must plant the seeds of change and cultivate a resilient future for Madagascar and beyond. As an advocate for climate action, I am enthusiastic about representing this critical cause as a delegate at COP 28. Additionally, the use of fossil fuels and the expansion of industrial activities impact the island's delicate ecosystem, triggering a cascade of climate abnormalities. For an island nation like Madagascar, this phenomenon directly affects coastal areas, leading to coastal erosion and threatening freshwater sources. The interconnectedness of global warming and climate change is evident, necessitating a united global effort to combat these challenges.
